Karishma knocked at Haseena's door for the third time calling her name - "Haseena, darwaza to kholiye, do ghante ho gaye hain, aayiye khana khate hain. Itna kya gussa."Haseena opened the door and quickly moved inside the room again. Karishma shook her head in disbelief and followed her inside. Haseena was on the bed with a grumpy face. Karishma scratched her forehead with a smile and sat beside her silently taking a deep breath.
Haseena was stealing glances at her but Karishma was just sitting there quietly looking around her room.
Finally haseena spoke with an irked tone - "kuch bolengi, kyu baithi hain yaha par aise."
Karishma smiled knowingly and said - "Ama hum to aapko khane ke liye bulane aaye the, aap hi muh fula kar andar chali aayi. Toh hum bhi aa gaye."
Haseena said - "Humein nahi khana, aapko khana hai to kha lijiye."
Karishma said with a poor tone - "Kyu nahi khana hai, kayde se to aapko humein puchna chahiye tha, thode hi sahi magar zakhmi to hue the hum. Par aap toh ulti ganga baha rahi hain."
Haseena said looking at the other side - "Hum kyu puche, hum toh sirf aapke tenant hai na. Humein koi matlab nahi hai aapse."
Karishma bends her neck to see her face but is unable to do so. She says in a soft tone - "Humne kab kaha ki aap sirf tenant hain hamari, aap hamari senior hai, dost hai, aur.."
Haseena turned towards her quickly and asked - "Aur?"
Karishma looked at the floor, and haseena asked in an annoyed tone - "aur kya haan, boliye, ruki kyu?"
Karishma looked at her with pleading eyes. Haseena ignored her and said angrily with tears forming in her eyes - "Bus ek baar aapne keh diya ki pyar karti hain, to zimmedari khatam ho gayi kya aapki. Ab koi kaam thode hi bacha hai zindagi me, hai na!"
Karishma looked at her confusingly, while haseena continued yelling at her with tears rolling down on her cheeks - "Acha hai na ki hum aapse pyar nahi karte, Bahot acha hai. Warna Aaj aapko goli lagte dekhte to jaan nikal jaati hamari. Aur jab ye pata chala tha ki kuch officers shaheed hue hai tab toh saans hi atak jaati hamari. Par hume kya hum toh aapse pyar nahi karte. Hamara aur aapka koi rishta hi nahi hai, to kya farq padta hai."
Karishma looked at her in bewilderment & asked again to confirm - "Kya bol rahi hain aap, aap pyar karti hain humse?"
Haseena again shouted in a voice dipped with sarcasm while continuously wiping her tears - "Nahi hum kyu karenge aapse pyar. Aapme aisi kaun si khaas baat hai ki koi bhi aapse pyaar kare. Bus itna hi ki aap hamari har takleef bina bataye samajh jaati hain. Bina jataye har mushkil se humein nikal deti hain. Kisi bhi cheez ki umeed rakhe bina, har waqt bus hamari khushi ka khyal rakhti hain. Khud bhale kabhi time par khana na khayein, par hamari har choti badi cheez ka dhyan rakhti hain. Abhi bhi khud ko chot lagi hone ke bawjood, humare khane ya na khane ke baare me soch rahi hain. Par inn sab ke wajah se humein aapse pyar thode hi ho jayega."
Karishma shook her head innocently and said in a concerned tone - "Toh isme itna kahe pareshan ho rahi hain aap. Humne kabhi koi pressure banaya hai kya aap par. Aap mat kijiye na humse pyar, par aise ro kyu rahi hain. Please chup ho jayiye. Arey hum bhi yahi chahte hain ki aap humse nahi kisi aise insaan se pyar karein jo sach me aapke layak..."
Before she could speak further, haseena pushed her harshly with anger and uttered in disbelief - "Abhi bhi samajh nahi aa raha inko. Kisi aur se pyaar karna chahiye humein."
Karishma winced due to sudden push & lay down on the bed with her eyes tightly closed due to the pain at her injured back. This made haseena panic and she immediately climbed up on the bed and held her face saying with a crying tone - "Sorry..I'm really sorry.. Humein dhyan nahi raha aapki chot ka..maaf kar dijiye please. Kaha ho raha hai dard?"
