Chapter 69

Haseena reached Ammi's place and was about to get down from her jeep when she saw Karishma taking a U-turn with her bike through her rear mirror. She shook her head with a sad smile and thought "Dil bhi dukhati hain, aur parwah bhi karti hain." She moved inside the house with a sad layer.

Later Karishma reached her home with an upset face and walked straight to Haseena's room. Just then she received a call from pushpa ji. She received the call and said "ji, Amma. Aapne itni raat ko call kiya?"

Pushpa ji replied from the other side "Ladayi ho gayi tumhari Haseena se?"

Karishma closed her eyes with an upset expression and said "aapko kisne bataya."

Pushpa ji replied "Tumhari saasu maiya ne. Haseena pareshan lag rahi thi. Sab galti hi tumhari hai. Baat karne se pehle sochna toh chahiye na."

Karishma said in an irked tone "Toh aur kya bolna chahiye tha Amma, har insaan chahta hai ki apne jeevansathi ko khush dekhe. Pyar ka matlab hi yahi hai, ki khud ki khushi se bhi pehle saamne wale ke baare me socha jaye. Hamare pyaar ko, hamari fikar, hamare jajbaat, hamare iraade, humesha sabko galat hi kyu lagte hain. Unko lagta hai hum ye sab Mahan banne ke liye keh rahe hain. Humnein aisa kuch soch kar nahi bola tha. Maante hain ki Unko bura laga..humein bhi lagta. Magar aap hi sochiye, agar woh hamari jagah hoti toh woh bhi toh yahi kehti na."

Pushpa ji said in an empathetic tone "Rishu beta, tune jo kaha usme kuch galat nahi hai. Par yeh narazgi bhi toh unka haq hai na. Aur yeh haq bhi toh tumne hi unhe diya hai. Toh ab tumhari zimmedari banti hai ki tum unhe manao."

Karishma said in a pouted tone "Wahi toh samjh nahi aa rha kaise manaye. Khair aap so jayiye."

Pushpa ji smiled and replied "Ja rahe hain, tu bhi so ja. Unko manane ka tareeka kal dhundh Lena." Saying this they hung up the call and Karishma too drifted off to sleep due to tiredness and stress.

The next morning, Karishma arrived at Ammi's place and knocked at the door. Ammi opened it and said with a wide smile "Aa gyi tu Teri musibat ko le jane."

Karishma smiled back and hugged her saying "Kya Ammi aap bhi. Dekhiye aapke liye kachori leke aaye hain hum garma-garam."

Ammi replied with a knowing smile "Mere liye laayi hai ya Haseena ke liye, sab samjhti hun main. Chal andar aaja, woh nahane gayi hai. Aur tune na aadat kharab kar di hai uski jyada sar pe chadha ke."

Karishma said with a sincere smile "Nahi Ammi, galti iss baar hamari hi hai. Warna woh kabhi aise rooth ke nahi aati."

Ammi caressed her cheek with love and said "Toh ja mana le meri adiyal beti ko."

Karishma nodded with a smile and moved towards Haseena's room. Haseena was in the washroom, so Karishma just waited for her outside and in the meantime she took a small tour of her room. This was the first time she was in her room after they officially got in a relationship. She sat on the bed and her eyes fell on her photo frame kept on the side table beside Haseena's bed. She smiled and waited patiently for Haseena to come out.

Haseena came out wiping her wet hair and was shocked to find Karishma sitting in her room. Karishma quickly got up and was about to say something but got distracted by Haseena's morning glow and started to stare at her with love filled eyes. Haseena looked at her dazed state and cleared her throat to bring her back from her dream land.

Karishma quickly composed herself and was about to move towards Haseena when she sternly said "Aap kya kar rahi hain yaha subah subah."

Karishma replied in a sweet tone "Hum aapko Ghar le jane aaye hain Tweety. Aapki favourite kachori bhi le kar aaye hain."
