Chapter 38

After a couple of hours, Karishma entered thana with an old woman holding her hand and said "Aayiye maa ji, aap idhar baithiye. Hum do minute me aaye."

Everyone shared a look with each other while Cheetah whispered "Santu ji, ek na personal level pe request hai, please Karishma madam ko abhi mat batana kuch bhi nahi to madam sir bahot naraz ho jayengi. Baad me dekhte hai sahi mauka dekh kar hum sab baat karenge madam sir se." Everyone agreed on that while santu shook her head in understanding.

Karishma called them near her desk and said "Pushpa ji, aap inn maa ji ki complaint likh lijiye..Inko inke bete ne ghar se nikal diya hai..hum aa rahe the to raste me yeh humko dikhi..puchne par iss ghatna ka pata laga."

Pushpaji nodded and Karishma asked looking at them "Waise wo MLA yaha aaya tha kya apne bete ki bail karane?"

They looked at each other in nervousness. Karishma asked again while searching for something in her drawer "Ka hua kuch bawal to nahi kiya na usne?"

Rajvir said hiding the truth from her "ji madam, aaya toh tha, bail ki formalities complete ki aur chala gya."

Karishma twisted her lips in surprise and said "Wah, humko laga toh nahi tha ki wo Bina koi kaand kiye iss matter ko itni aasani se jane dega. Khair..jayiye kaam kijiye sab apna apna."

They looked at her with poor faces and got back to their respective places.

Pushpa ji registered the complaint of the old lady and Karishma instructed cheeta to drop her to the old age home nearby.

Karishma goes near the old lady and said with a soft smile "Maa ji, aap filhal yeh cheetah ke sath jayiye. Hum wada karte hai bus do dino me aapka beta aapko pure maan samman ke sath ghar leke jayega."

The old lady smiled and caressed her face & said "Mujhe bharosa hai beta tujhpe..Bahot bada upkar hoga tera..meri dua hai ki bhagwan tujhe lambi umar de."

Karishma shook her head while everyone else smiled looking at that.

Pushpaji said with an irked tone "kaise kaise log hain duniya me..maa baap ke bhi sage nahi hain ye hote."

Karishma sadly smiled & said "Dastoor hai duniya ka pushpaji, Jiska paas Jo cheez maujood hai, usko uski koi kadar nahi hai. Aur jiske paas nahi hai wo tarasta hai."

Everyone looked at the sadness evident on her face once and Pushpaji gave her an assuring smile to which she nodded and went back to her desk.

In the evening, a woman in her late 20s entered the thana, looking for Karishma.

She said coming near to Pushpaji's desk in a loud tone "Madam, mujhe Haseena se milna hai..Bahot zaruri kaam hai."

Everybody looked at her in surprise while Pushpa ji asked "Ji maddam sir cabin me hai..aapki tareef?"

"Meri tareef aap haseena se suniyega. Haseena..." She shouted in a loud excited tone.

Haseena came out of the cabin and said with a suprised smile "Jiya, tum yaha?"

Jiya quickly went near her and hugged Haseena tightly. All looked at them once and then towards Karishma who signalled them that it's fine, by blinking her eyes.

They broke their hug and haseena asked her with surprise "Tum aaj yaha kaise.. Bangalore se kab lauti?"

Jiya said with excitement "Yaar meri posting Lucknow ho gayi hai.. isliye socha sabse pehle tere se aakar milu. Aur mere pyare boyfriend ki bhi posting yahi MPT me hai na..toh usse bhi mil lungi."

Everybody looked at cheetah in shock which made him nervous & he quickly said "Aap sab humko kahe aise dekh rahe hain, hum to pehli baar mil rahe hai inse."
