Chapter 83

Jiya was consoling Haseena, who was crying non-stop since she came out of Karishma's room. Haseena had rested her head on Jiya's shoulder and was breathless due to extensively crying. Jiya was caressing her back, talking to her in a soothing tone while others were just looking at them worriedly from a distance.

Jiya spoke in a concerned tone "Haseena bus bhi kar ab, kitna royegi. Teri tabiyat bigad jayegi. Dekh na Aadya ko..tujhe dekh ke woh bhi ro rahi hai. Kab se Raj aur Santu chup karwa rahe hain. Tujhe himmat rakhni hogi na. Sab ko tujhe sambhalna hoga na. Pusha ji ki halat kharab hai, Ammi ko dekh kitna pareshan hain."

Haseena said while sobbing profusely "Hum kuch nahi sambhal payenge Jiya. Humare andar himmat nahi hai. Hum jeena nahi chahte ab."

This was the nth time Haseena repeated the same words, it made Jiya upset and she said in an irked tone "Ha bilkul tujhe mar jana chahiye. Teri Jaan bachane ke liye Karishma ne tere hisse ki goliyan khud par le li, taaki tujhe ek kharoch bhi na aa sake. Khud ki zindagi ki parwah nahi ki unhone taaki teri Jaan bacha sake..magar tujhe kya hai, unki zindagi, unki takleef, unki mohabbat ko darkinar kar ke apni jaan dene chali hai. Tera har dard le liya unhone taaki tujhe kuch na ho paaye. Aur tu khud ko nuksan pahucha kar unhe aur takleef dena chahti hai. Unke jazbaton ki koi kadar nahi hai tujhe."

Haseena got silent after this outburst and scolding from Jiya. She could only utter in disbelief "Tujhe lagta hai humein unki kadar nahi, aisa kaise keh sakti hai tu Jiya."

Jiya said in a soothing tone "Toh aur kya kahun main. Teri zindagi par tujhse jyada unka haq hai. Karishma ki khatir toh thodi himmat rakh..kya pata khuda hum sab ki dua kabool kar lein."

Haseena nodded with tears and Jiya pulled her in a warm embrace to calm her down a little.

After some time a nurse entered Karishma's room to check on her. She found some changes in her vitals and quickly rushed to call the doctor. The doctor immediately entered the room while Haseena's mind was alarmed with all this chaos and she quickly asked a nurse in a worried tone "Kya hua nurse, Karishma thik toh hain na?"

The nurse replied "Doctor check kar rahe hain. Aaplog thodi der bahar hi wait kijiye."

Saying this she entered the room and everyone waited outside with tensed faces. After a while the doctor came out and everyone surrounded him with worried faces.

The doctor said with a professional smile "Ek good news hai, patient ko hosh aa raha hai. Injuries severe hai, toh thik hone me thoda samay lagega, but ab unke vitals stable hain, toh ab ventilator ki zarurat nahi hai. Aap log chahein toh mil sakte hain. Magar jyada der ke liye nahi. Aage ki treatment jaari rahegi, kyuki she still has some risk of multiple organ failure due to three gunshot wounds on her body, which can be fatal if not treated properly. Hopefully she will recover soon."

Everybody was overjoyed with the news. All had happy tears in their eyes. Pushpa ji and Ammi quickly moved towards the room but looked once at Haseena. Haseena had kept her palms on her face and had started weeping, overwhelmed with the happiness. She took a seat on the bench nearby as she felt like her legs had given up.

Jiya puts her hand on her shoulder and says with teary eyes "Dekha khuda ne sun li hai teri. Chal ja ab mil le apni Rishu se."

Haseena shook her head wiping her tears and looked at her mother and Pushpaji and said with a teary smile "Pehle aap log mil lijiye. Hum thodi der me aate hain."

Pushpaji wiped her tears and came near Haseena and said in a soft tone "Hum aapki manostithi samjhte hain lekin Aap jaanti hain na, uski Nazarein sabse pehle aapko hi dhundegi. Aayiye aap hum sab ke sath hi chaliye."

Haseena nodded and everyone entered the room. Haseena took a deep breath and followed them inside the room. Cheeta and Rajvir stayed outside with Aadya.
