Pomni ran throughout the circus, looking around frantically and panting. She had to find that stupid exit door, she had to get out of here.
Her heart beating in her chest as she noticed Gangle was right behind her. Even though Gangle was a ribbon, they were quite fast.

Pomni picked up the pace, eventually taking a sharp turn to throw Gangle off. But Gangle persisted. Pomni ran like her life depended on it, which it basically did. Her feet were killing her, not only because she was running, but out of all shoes she had to spawn in jester shoes. She could hear her own heart beating wildly in her chest. And then she spotted it. The exit door.

But she was on the second floor. There was some railing though, so that's good. She scrambled onto the railing and looked back at Gangle, if she didn't jump now she would be caught-

She jumped off the railing onto the first floor, expecting to fall or stumble. But surprisingly, she did not. Pomni got over her shock and bolted towards the exit door. Yes! She was almost there, almost-
She grabbed the handle and yanked it open, laughing.
"SEE YA, GANGLE!"
Pomni slammed the door of the exit as it disappeared like dust in the wind.

Gangle stood there on the second floor in shock. They couldn't move. Did that really happen? Does the exit door....really exist?

Well of course it does, she just saw Pomni go inside it. Gangle was so busy with reminiscing, wondering what happened, that she didn't even notice Jax right behind her, taunting her.

"Hey Gangleeee!" His taunting voice echoed.
"I'm right heeeereee, betcha can't catch me!"
Gangle looked straight at the place where the door was.

"Gangle. Crybaby. Ribbony mess."
Jax's voice sounded irritated. Why weren't they listening to him? She usually would have sighed, looked back and chased him. So what happened now? He looked around and spotted Ragatha.
"Hey! Bundle of rags!"
Ragatha looked towards him.
"What, Jax."
"There's somethin' wrong with crybaby! I've been behind her back yelling and taunting, but she isn't responding! Ain't even looking back at me!"
Ragatha raised an eyebrow and sighed.
"I guess I'll come over there. But if it's a trick to get me tagged, I'm going to chase you relentlessly."
Ragatha walked over to where Jax was with reluctance.
"So, what happened?" Ragatha asked.
"I told you, she isn't responding or ever acknowledging me! She's not even crying!" Jax practically screamed back.
Ragatha walked over to Gangle.
"Bwuh- hey, what're you doing! You're gonna put her out of her trance and get yourself tagged!"
Ragatha ignored him and stood next to Gangle.
"Gangle? Are you alright?"
Gangle kept staring at the place where the exit door was. Ragatha waved her hand in front of Gangle's face.
"Gangle?"

The world seemed to have stopped for a while, Gangle could hear Jax and Ragatha's voices, but they sounded far away. Everything seemed out of focus except for an outline of where the door was. Then finally, Ragatha waved her hand in front of them. Gangle blinked a couple times, tears streaming. She hadn't blinked since that happened.
"What happened, Gangle?"
Ragatha crouched down to Gangle's level. Gangle looked into her eyes, a motherly, worried look in them.
Gangle didn't know if she should tell Ragatha or Caine or anybody. They didn't know if they should keep it to themselves. She could just say she zoned out...maybe if she told Kinger it would help.

"N-nothing, R-ragatha...I j-just zoned out..."
Gangle knew it was bad to lie but she thought that Kinger might just help her. They didn't know why though.
"Alright then...do you still want to play or do you want Caine to call it off?"
"C-call it off...this is too stressful..."

In more ways than one.
Yes, it was quite stressful.
