Charlie Nelson:

We arrived at the hospital and they carried Avery in on a stretcher. I followed by her side, holding her hand as they took us into a room. The ambulance people left and the Docters took charge. "Sir we're going to need you to step out." A lady said, her badge read "daisy." I hesitated at first but then walked out the room, they shut the door and pulled the curtains and I walked into the waiting room. When I did I saw Sarah sat on a seat, trying to talk to Nick with his head in hands. Nick saw me and stood up. I couldn't hold it back and I started sobbing, he walked over to me and pulled me in close as I broke down in his arms. "Oh baby, she'll be okay, they've got her now." I was crying so much I was starting to struggle to breathe. I mean my first ever child is in hospital, throwing up blood, how else do u except me to react. Sarah walked over and took my hand, she sat me down on a seat and offered me some water. I slightly smiled and took the crumpled plastic bottle out her hands. "I'm gonna go see Avery, you take some time with mum, what room is she ?" He asked, "r-r-room 3-351." He nodded and walked over to me, he kissed me on the head and cupped my face. "I love you so much Char, your so strong mi amor." I smiled and he walked off. "Come on Charlie, let's go for a walk outside and get some fresh air shall we ?" Sarah said. The hospital had quite nice  scenery so I didn't say no to the offer.

Nick Nelson:

⚠️one last trigger before homophobiaaaa

I got averys room number and walked up to the front desk. "Hi, I'm looking for my daughter ?" She looked up at me and chewed her gum disgustingly . "Mhm and what's her name then ?" She said in a bratty tone, I chose to ignore it as my husband and daughter were my only worry right now. "Avery-Rae Nelson." She rolled her eyes and handed me a sheet. "Sign this form in." She muttered. As I'm signing it she takes notice of my wedding ring. "Ooo so who's the lucky woman then ?" I'm taken back by awe and confusion, "I'm sorry, what ?" I say confused. She flicks her pen in her hands and points it at my ring. "Your ring, who's the lucky lady ?" I slightly roll my eyes, "I'm bi, actually. And happily married to my husband." She stays still and then sighs. "Such a pretty man too, ashame your into men." She mumbled. I was about to start on her but I just wanted to see my daughter. "I'm sorry, I'm gonna choose to ignore your homophobia and your gonna tell me what floor my daughter is on." I say, arms crossed. "Mhm whatever, ward 2" she rolls her eyes and points to the stairs. I don't say thank you as I feel she Dosent need it and walk fastly up the stairs. When I had first came out in truham I used to have panic attacks when someone said someting homophobic. They were so back I used to grab on to Charlie's blazer gasping for air as I couldn't breathe. I found the ward and saw the door was open, I walked in and Avery was sat in bed, sort of awake and asleep at the same time. My eyes got teary and I covered my hand over my mouth. "D-daddy ?" She whispered. I rushed over to her and gently hugged her. "Hey darling." She gripped onto me and snuggled into the crew of my neck. "I missed you." She whispered. "Oh hunny." I said. "I missed you too."

A few minutes later Charlie walked in, excepting Avery not to be awake. But once he put his head up and saw Avery he started crying and dashed over too hug her. When we were all sat down and sorted a nice docter came in with a clip-board. "Hi, my name is mya and i was averys doctor today." We nodded and I grabbed Charlie's hand. "So like the man said in the ambulance, your daughter is struggling with an infection, probably caused by a cold or some sort of stomach bug, is that how this started ?" She asked. "Yeah, we were at work and I got a call saying that she felt nauseous. But by the time we got there she was already throwing up." Charlie said. The doctor nodded and wrote it down. "Okay so yep ! What the ambulance man, Henry, told you was Avery had an infection which is correct. Her poor small body was trying to fight the infection and since she was throwing up so much she popped a blood vessel and that started appearing in her vomit." We nodded and Charlie was crying tears of joy that it was nothing major. "We're gonna describe you some anti-biotics and she needs to rest up, she will need to go on a diet though of liquid foods for about 2 weeks, just so it gives her throat time to rest. Stuff like soup, smoothies, water, and ice Lolly's if she's a good girl." We looked over at Avery and she smirked, I laughed as I knew she loves ice Lollys. "Thank you so much...can I hug you ? I'm just so grateful for you helping her today." She smiled and opened her arms, Charlie stood up and walked over to her. She pulled him into a hug and she smiled. "It's my pleasure." They stopped hugging and Charlie grabbed the bags, I picked Avery up and she snuggled into my shoulder. "Thank you so much." I said as we walked out. "Thank you." Avery croaked and waved. She waved back and we got in the car.
