It was now November 20th. It was a very sad day because it was Nariyoshi Miyagi’s funeral. Sato Toguchi died on May 12th, 1996 in Okinawa. Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence and Julie Pierce and everyone that Nariyoshi knew showed up to the funeral and it was mostly emotional for both Daniel and Julie. After everyone left the funeral, Daniel, Julie and Johnny stayed behind, looking down at Nariyoshi’s gravestone. “We continue his legacy. It’s what he wanted and we’ll do it.” Julie said. “I agree.” Daniel responded. “Same goes for me.” Johnny added.
Suddenly, a black car pulled up and the trio became suspicious of the mysterious person. Daniel looks closely and sees that it was Mike Barnes. “Daniel. Sorry I could not make it to the funeral.” Mike said, feeling bad. “It’s okay. I’m just glad you got here.” Daniel said. “Who’s this guy?” Johnny asked. “Guys, this is a friend, slash former enemy of mine, Mike Barnes. He’s going to help you teach Eagle Fang Karate, Johnny.” Daniel said, making Julie snort. “That’s a weird name for a dojo.” Julie snickered. “Hey! Eagles are badass and my dojo is awesome tutes.” Johnny said, with irritation in his voice.
“Okay, okay. Settle down, everyone. We have another ally out there in Okinawa but we’ll have to wait to bring him into this. Right now, let’s just focus on the war.” Daniel said to his group. “We do this for Mr. Miaygi and Sato.” Julie said, triumphantly. “Unfortunately, our enemies have gone into hiding and we don’t know where they are. But when they come back, we’ll be ready.” Daniel said. “Got that right. We never back down from a fight.” Johnny said, getting hyped up. “I like the way this guy thinks. I can’t wait to help in any way that I can.” Mike said. The four karate sensei's turn to Nariyoshi’s gravestone and bow to it out of respect. Even though our former leaders are mostly gone, the legacies still continue on in their students.
