RIP Legend

I know I'm a bit late to make this, but I've honestly been too saddened to.

Sir Michael Gambon may not have been the original Dumbledore, as the original passed away between filming of the second and third movies, but Gambon will always be the face of Dumbledore.

He made Dumbledore iconic, and I know when everyone pictures Dumbledore, they picture Sir Michael Gambon.

He taught us:

✨That friendship will always win against evil.

✨Breaking a few rules is sometimes necessary to succeed.

✨Magic is everywhere, and always a wonderful thing.

✨It's okay to love the villain, because he loved Snape like a son. (I know Snape was still good, just roll with it lmao.)

✨It's okay to make mistakes, like when he brought Tom Riddle to Hogwarts.

✨Even if your family is dysfunctional, you should love them no matter what.

✨"It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends."

✨Dreams are our escape from reality, because "in dreams we enter a world that is entirely our own." But it also doesn't "do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live."

✨Choices make us who we are, not our ability to do everything.

✨Pity the living, especially those that live without love. Do not pity the dead.

✨It doesn't matter what you were born as, it only matters what you grow to be.

✨Even if it happens in your head, it doesn't mean it's not real.

✨"To have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone, will give us some protection forever." (This hits hard for me due to losing 6 family members who always showed me unconditional love in the past decade.)

✨"There is no point in worrying yet... what would come, would come, and we would have to meet it when it does."

✨"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light."

And finally, because I'm running out of meaningful quotes to directly quote and paraphrase:

✨You don't need to fear death, because "to the well organized mind, death is but the next adventure." (Sir Michael Gambon, not as Dumbledore.)

So, if you ever need a pep talk, always remember that Gambon delivered us the most meaningful quotes from Dumbledore, and himself.

And with that, I'd like to say one final thing to commemorate this absolute legend of a man:

He may not be physically with us anymore, but our memories from childhood (even if your childhood was watching something else of his) will always let him live on. Sir Michael Gambon, your presence will be missed dearly, but our love for you will never fade.

Sir Michael Gambon, your presence will be missed dearly, but our love for you will never fade

(Young Sir Michael Gambon was very attractive, change my mind. I dare you.)
