Otis: Don't worry, I'll help.
Clementine: Can I help too.
Otis and Lee: Sure.
Lee: Here we go.
Lee: Watch your fingers in the drawers.
They pull the desk backward, then stop.
Lee: How are you guys doing?
Clementine: Yeah, it's not that heavy.
Otis: It really isn't.
Lee: How about everything outside?
Clementine: It's not good.
Otis: We'll make it through this.
Lee: No, it's not, and maybe.
Clementine: But I think it'll be okay.
Otis: Exactly.
Lee: Okay, here we go.
They move the desk backward again, then Lee begins pushing it to the side, but pauses when Clementine speaks to him.
Clementine: Do you have kids?
Lee: No.
Clementine: You don't have a family?
Otis: I'm sure his parents are proud of him.
Lee: What do your parents do?
Otis: Good question.
Clementine: My mom is a doctor, and my dad is an engineer.
Lee: Those are good jobs.
Otis: Yeah, if you get hurt or have problems solving something, just call her parents.
Clementine: What's your job?
Lee: I teach history and writing and things like that.
Clementine: Like, um, social studies?
Otis: Couldn't think of anything else to say.
Lee: Yep, like that.
Clementine nods, then looks at Lee.
Clementine: You didn't answer my question.
Otis: What a smart cookie.
Lee: Alright, a little further.
Lee,Clementine, and Otis rotate the desk so that it's vertically in front of the door.
Clementine: Why don't you want to talk about your family?
Clementine: Do they, like hate you?
Otis: Did they?
Lee: I wouldn't blame them.
Clementine: Why?
Clementine: Did you fight?
Clementine: I fight with my mom sometimes.
Lee: We didn't fight.
Lee: We just didn't talk for a while.
Lee kneels down in front of Clementine and Otis.
Lee: Look, my family is gone, and I just wish things would've been different.
Clementine: Yeah.
Otis: Maybe you'll get closure.
Lee: Maybe.
Lee: I got into some trouble, and then I didn't talk to them for a while.
Lee: This used to be their store.
Lee: But let's just keep that between you and me, okay?
Clementine: Okay.
Clementine: Because of the trouble?
Lee: That's right.
Lee: Now, let's get this done.
Otis: Yes, let's.
Lee,Clementine, and Otis start pushing the desk against the wall. Clementine suddenly jumps back.
Clementine: Ow!
Clementine holds her right pointer finger as it bleeds.
Lee and Otis: Are you okay?
Clementine: I hurt my finger.
Lee: Is it bleeding?
Clementine: A little.
Lee picks up Clementine and seats her on the desk.
Otis: We'll find you a bandage.
Lee goes to the first aid and opens it.
Lee takes the bandage and walks to Clementine.
Lee kneels down in front of Clementine and holds her hand, inspecting her injured finger.
Lee: Let's have a look at that finger.
Lee prepares to bandage Clementine's wound.
Lee: Let's get this cut covered up.
Clementine: Yes, please.
Lee wraps a band-aid over her cut. After a while, Clementine speaks up to Lee.
Clementine: Lee?
Lee: Yeah?
Clementine: What if my parents come home and I'm not there?
Lee: They'll track us down.
Lee: Don't worry.Clementine: Yeah.
Clementine: Okay.
Clementine: We should keep a lookout.
Clementine: I've got my walkie-talkie in case they try that way.
Lee: Stay close to me until then, okay?
Clementine nods.
Lee opens the desk drawer and searches it, taking the remote inside.
Lee: It's the remote to my dad's TV.
Lee approaches the door, preparing to leave.
Lee: Want to head back into the drugstore with me?
Clementine: Okay.
Otis: Well their's nothing else to do in here.
Clementine and Otis walk up to Lee. She then holds her wrist bashfully.
Clementine: Lee?
Lee: Yeah?
Clementine: You're not bad, right?
Lee: I, uh, why are you asking me that?
Clementine: That lady said you killed someone.
Clementine: Was that because he was one of the things trying to eat you?
Otis: He probably killed an alive person.
Lee: Otis is right.
Lee: No.
Lee: He wasn't.
Clementine: Oh.
Clementine: Was he bad?
Lee: He was.
Otis: That's good.
They walk out of the office.
