I HEARD THE NEWS, sat at my dining table when his face popped up on this morning — hair less spiky but still that slit in his eyebrow. I exhale and watch him a little longer before turning off the television. I get texts from Harriet and Inez asking if I'm alright which I reply to with simply a thumbs up because I want to forget about him.
So..He's back, officially. And In London. And I had to find out over the breakfast that I couldn't stomach to finish before running out the door towards a photoshoot in the main part of the city.
It doesn't make it any better for me that I'm shooting for a piece of the spring edition of ELLE magazine in English winter. My current outfit being an elle sab embroidered tulle gown and a large black puffer coat that swallows the curves that my dress on the other hand accentuates . My toes going purple in a pair of white heels. Slouched in a chair as they reorganise the set.
" now that's worthy of the front cover right there." Patrick Johns, one of said men I have used to try and get over Jamie with — one of the ones that I did things that make me the most guilty about.
Luckily, he wants a relationship as much as I do ( which isn't at all) — so it's fine when he does this, he doesn't expect anything from me and I don't feel the need to hold him in certain ways or pretend to feel things that I don't.
I offer him a small smile, snuggling up more in my coat " it's chilly, they're lucky I'm not the colour of a Smurf yet." I tell him and his head tilts back as he laughs. He comes closer, " I think we're almost done, for the day anyway."
I nod my head with a small smile " wanna grab a coffee afterwards?" I ask, no strings attached. Just friends, if that's what could even call us.
Strangers who sleep together sometimes? Probably shouldn't say that to my mum.

My frostbite lasts another hour and a half, changing out of the dress into grey jeans, a white turtleneck and one of those brown aviator jackets. Patrick strolling beside me hiding half his face in his puffer jacket from the pure chill of London this time of the year. Our conversation is casual, he tells me he has a date with this Spanish singer tonight and I instruct him on what to wear if he actually wants to get a second date with her ( which it is evident that he does).
