A/N:
Quick little apology from me for the incredibly slow updates. No crazy story behind it, A-Levels are just kicking my ass... love that for me.
Anyway, enjoy <3

"Merda santa, Addy. You look incredible."
Ana gushed at her best friend as Adora turned on the pedestal. The English girl wore a long baby pink gown, with floral lace detailing all across the dress, from her bust to her toes with a lace trim framing the slit on her thigh that ran just high enough. The skirt areas of the dress had extra layers of tulle to give the train more body. "I love it. And easy access for Theo." Adora gave her friend a wink, causing Ana to laugh.
"Is everything to your liking ladies?" The shop manager approached the girls, a smile on her face.
Adora ran her hands down her dress. "This is perfect. No adjustments needed."
"Wonderful! We'll reserve it under your name..."
"Adora Islington."
"Oh Miss Islington! My apologies, I didn't recognise you for a moment there. You've grown so much! Give your mother my well wishes won't you? Your family has been such a loyal client of ours."
Ana almost let out a laugh at the woman's slightly overdone gushing. Adora's mother was somewhat of a socialite in England, and was known in the upper classes for her classic fashion, strong mind and progressive views, that were helping shape the aristocratic upper classes away from harmful traditional views— though, there's still a long way to go. Designers across Europe discuss ideas with Addy's mother, to ensure that it is marketed correctly for British audiences.
Adora's father on the other hand— well not even Addy could give a definition of what her dad does. A range of investments and multiple businesses was his main income, other than that he sort of just... existed, in their family home.
Adora came out of the fitting room, back into her normal clothes. "Ana you have to try the navy dress on. It will be life changing."
Shaking her head Ana denied Adora. "Addy, you know I can't. I'll just wear the satin maxi dress I got a couple years ago. It's elegant enough."
"You deserve to feel a bit of luxury, even if it's just for a few minutes Ana." Ana watched as Adora walked over to one of the chaise longue and lifted the navy blue dress Ana had spotted earlier into her arms. "For me?"
Eventually Ana gave in, and found herself on the pedestal, staring at the mirror opposite her.
"Shit, Ana, you look just like Selena Gomez at the 2016 Grammys. But better." Adora gushed. "I can't even put it into words."
Ana ran her hands down the dress, feeling the soft silky material. The top of the dress was fashioned with a corset style, a piece of dark navy satin fabric draped over her bust, the cups giving her just the right amount of lift. On her hip the fabric was layered and ruched to give a sweeping effect across her hips to reveal a thigh slit, showing her golden brown skin. The straps holding the dress on her shoulders crossed at the back before running over her shoulders and attaching to the cups of the dress.
"É bellissimo, Addy." Ana tried to hide her disappointment. "But the one in my wardrobe will have to do."
Adora's shoulders sagged slightly, but she understood. "It's no worries, you'll look incredible in that maxi dress."
Ana headed out of the store after getting changed back into her clothes, before realising Adora wasn't with her. She momentarily stepped back into the store's doorway to find the blonde, only to be met with "I'm here! I'm here! Just had to finalise the payment of my dress."
