A/N:

Again, sorry for the slow updates, same excuse as last time. Just trying to prioritise school work atm. Ugh how good of a student am I? My teachers should be thankful they have me.

Anyway, im on christmas holidays now to expect some more frequent updates, lovies.

"I'm going to miss you so much. Promise me you'll keep me updated on everything."

Ana broke away from the tight hug. "I will, Addy. Say hi to Mimi for me?"

"Of course." The two girls hugged again.

"Uh, excuse me?" Ana broke away from the hug when she heard a smaller voice behind her. "Is it true you're spending the holidays with the Campbells?"

"Please," Ana had a defeated look on her face, "just leave me alone. It's none of your business who I may or may not be spending my holidays with, okay?"

The girl who Ana had never seen before in her life, who looked about thirteen, mumbled 'whatever' under her breath as she walked away.

News of the Campbells hosting a guardianship program student spread like wildfire across the school. It was unheard of. The most prestigious families of St. Edwards never signed up to the program. All of them were desperate to show their wealth, but never to let others touch it.

Ana had been bombarded with questions from people she had never spoken to before. In the corridors, in class from people who had never bothered to look her way, by her locker. Even in the bathroom, she was consistently asked questions that she didn't have the answers to.

"Why are you staying with the Campbell's?"

"Did you bribe them to take you in?"

"Do you think I would be chosen to stay with them next year?"

"Could you talk to Elijah for me? Get him to text me back?"

"I bet you probably sucked off James to get there."

"How does it feel to be a gold digger?"

Adora got particularly aggravated at the more accusatory questions, but Ana was just tired of all of it. She was wondering if having a place to stay for Christmas was worth all of this trouble, but she didn't have much of a choice anymore.

Ana watched in disbelief as a large matte black Rolls Royce pulled around the school's driveway, and parked in between Ana and the large stone fountain she faced. The hum of its engine was cut off and Ana began to feel incredibly uncomfortable under the watchful eyes of other students passing by. Their thoughts were loud.

An older man in a black tie and suit stepped out of the driver's side, and walked around the front of the car, looking at the card in his hand. "Are you Miss De Lucia?" He had kind eyes as he addressed her, the wrinkles around the edges gave him a smiley appearance. He wasn't the tallest of men, and his shoulders were slightly hunched, but Ana noticed his calm demeanour, and appreciated it greatly.

"Yes, that's me." Ana nodded, holding out her hand.

He took her hand, giving it a gentle shake. "It's lovely to meet you, Miss. Sid Johnson, Mrs Campbell's driver. I'll be escorting you to wherever you need for the next three weeks."

"Escorting me?" Ana questioned, gulping slightly.

"Well, yes." Sid nodded. "I'll be driving you and assisting you where needed in terms of transportation, Miss De Lucia."
