After being practically dragged into a small plain room, boxed by dark grey walls, with no windows and two doors— the one she entered, and another one on the opposite wall— the only furniture being a metal table and two chairs, Ana sat silently. Silence seemed to be the best option for her at the moment, with her mind reeling too fast to produce any worthwhile words— but also to do with the fact that she was facing three large backs, shutting her out of the hushed conversation that Elijah, Theo and Damien were now having.

"...you shouldn't..."

"...she wanted that..."

"...ask her..."

"... your fault..."

Ana let out a frustrated sigh as their hushed voices only disclosed fragments of their conversation, the lack of clarity in their English words, making it even more difficult for the Italian to listen in. The three men turned around at the sound of her sigh, and were met by a girl who was attempting to hide the shock in her eyes by glaring at them.

"Mi sto stancando di tutto questo. Are you going to keep me captive here or what?" Although she was addressing the three of them, Elijah received all of the daggers shooting from her eyes.

Theo chuckled, giving Elijah a hard pat on the back. "Good luck with this one man." Before heading for the door.

"Don't you dare leave this room Theo." Ana called after him. "You have questions to answer too. Does Addy know about this?"

His face paled and he shot back to Ana from the door, pleading from across the table. "Fuck, please don't tell Addy. She can't know about this."

"I won't keep secrets from her, Theo. Please don't ask me to."

The panic on his face only increased. "I'll tell you everything, you'll understand then."

"Theo—" Elijah tried to interject.

"You cannot under any circumstance tell Addy what's going on here." Theo stated, meeting the girl's eyes.

"What, that you guys work for an illegal gambling ring? Are you fucking kidding me? How did you even— what made you—" Ana sighed and put her head in her hands.

"Honestly I'm surprised she's taken this so badly. Doesn't she come from a country rife with Mafias n' shit?" Damien shrugged.

"My life is not The Godfather, Damien." Ana shot back, her head still in her hands.

"Ana. Look up at me." Elijah's voice worked like a force on her body, and almost immediately deep green clashed with hazel. "Damien's going to take you back to the house—" Ana began to protest but Elijah continued. "You're going to go back and say nothing to anyone about what you saw here this evening. Not to Adora, not to the staff and especially not to my family."

"You're joking, right? You're kidding." The look on Elijah's face said otherwise.

"If I find out you've let it slip, Ana..." The three of them began walking towards the door Ana walked in. "Wait here. Don't move."

"What? You're just going to leave me here? I thought Damien was—" she was left ignored as all three of them left the room, leaving her in silence and with Elijah's cryptic threat.
