In March of 2022 the kids had a week off school so on ones of those days Rory and Logan took the kids to Stars Hollow.
They were at Lane and Zack's house. Steve and Kwan were showing the kids how to play a video game, Logan and Zack were in the living room and Lane and Rory had gone upstairs.
"Should we be worried that our wives want nothing to do with us when they're together?" Logan asked jokingly
"Those two have been best friends for over 30 years." Zach said. "It doesn't matter how much they love us, they love each other more"
"Fair enough"

"Trying to get pregnant sucks" Rory said. The only person she ever told that she was trying to get pregnant was Lane. With Oliver and Amelia too, Lane was the only person who knew about it until she was actually taking people that she was pregnant. This was mostly because Rory fell like telling people she was trying to get pregnant was basically saying 'oh yeah, we're having a lot of sex'.
"So does being pregnant" Lane said
"Helpful" Rory said sarcastically
"I'm just saying, it's not as fun as some people like to pretend it is" Lane said "and you know that, you've done it twice"
"Yeah, but it's worth it"
"I agree, but I'm not gonna act like pregnancy is fun and magical when it's really just 9 months of feeling like crap"
"Are you trying to talk me out of having a baby?"
"Sorry, I'll say something positive" Lane said. "Trying to get pregnant means that you get to have a lot of sex with your hot husband"
Rory chuckled.
"I mean, seriously. I'm happily married, I love Zach, but anyone with eyes can see that your husband is hot" Lane said. "So are you, by the way. Your baby's gonna be like a tall, blonde haired, blue eyed, model or something"
"That's a lot of pressure to put on a baby that hasn't even been conceived yet" Rory said "Hey do you think it'll be weird that this baby will be so much younger than the rest of the kids?"
"What do you mean?"
"The boys are 9 and Amelia's 6" Rory said. "That's a big age difference, and even if I were to get pregnant now that's a pretty big age difference"
"I don't think it's weird" Lane said. "Zach's sister is 20 and they get along fine"
"I would've been so grossed out of my mom had told me she was pregnant when I was 17" Rory chuckled.
"Same" Lane said "Hey what if you have twins?" Lane asked. "You'd have 5 kids"
"Don't even bring that energy into the world"
After spending some time at Lane's house, they went to have lunch with Luke and Lorelai at the dragonfly.
Lorelai was talking to Rory about something when she realized something that Rory had said a few minutes before. "Wait, did you say the boys were playing football?"
"She said that a while ago" Oliver said
"You're letting your kid play football?" Lorelai asked in disbelief. Rory was a very nervous mother. She was very worried about her kids getting hurt, so Lorelai would've thought that football would be an immediate no from Rory. "I would never have thought that you'd let your kids play football"
"Yeah, well I have a husband who likes sports and decided to teach our sons how to play" Rory said. Logan liked to play football with the boys when they went to the park, and when they started third grade back in September, they decided they wanted to play football 'for real'. They had to be 9 to play on the team they wanted to be on though, so Rory and Logan had to wait until March to sign them both up. "Plus it's flag football so nobody's getting tackled"
"Until they get to middle school, then they're allowed to basically beat the crap out of each other" Luke said. Lorelai smacked his arm. "I mean, football is fun"
"We got different colored shoes and we both took one of each because we have the same size" Ollie said
"Yeah, so Ollie's right shoe is white and gold, and my left shoe is white and gold and my right shoe is green and his left shoe is green" Oliver said
"That's...weird" Lorelai said
"It's fun" Ollie said

All three kids wanted to go to sleep away camp that summer so in May, Rory and Logan started getting all the stuff together.
The morning of the last day of school was busy since not only were they getting ready for school, but the kids would be leaving for camp the next day.
"Alright" Rory said. "Last day of third grade and last day of first grade"
"Man, you guys are old" Logan joked
"You're old!" Amelia said
"I am not old"
"You're the oldest in our family" Oliver said
"That doesn't make me old"
"Yes it does" Ollie laughed
"Ace, you wanna help me out?"
"I can't. You're too old" Rory teased
"What is it? It's everyone against dad day?" Logan asked
"Alright, we're done" Rory said and gave the kids a look that let them know she was serious.
The next day Rory and Logan dropped the kids off at the place where the bus would pick them and 20 other kids up for camp.
When they got home, they didn't really know what to do. They were never alone in the house. Even when Ollie and Amelia were with Adam, Oliver was still there. There was always at least one kid in the house.
"Now what?" Rory asked.
Logan put his hands on Rory's waist, pulling her flush against him, and kissed her softly. "Baby number 4?"
Rory chuckled. "Baby number 4"

A couple of weeks later Rory and Logan went to have dinner with the Gilmores and it was just them, Richard, and Emily that week since Lorelai was busy.
"Are the children enjoying camp?" Richard asked
"They're loving it" Rory said. "I thought Amelia was gonna want to come home, but she seems to be ok"
"That's good" Emily said. "How are you guys enjoying a quiet house?"
"Oh, it's weird" Logan said.
"Yeah, we have so much free time that it's almost boring" Rory said. "But it's nice to be able to have date nights without having to worry about a babysitter"
"And to sleep past 7" Logan added. Usually they were up at 6:30 to get themselves ready for work and the kids ready for school.
"That too" Rory nodded. "We can take longer than 5 minutes to drink our coffee in the morning". As much as she loved her kids, and she missed them, it was nice to be able to take things a little slower for a change.
"I'll never understand your thing with coffee" Emily said. "Your mother too"
"I don't know about mom, but I was raised that way"

One Tuesday in mid June, Logan got home from work a little later than usual. When he walked into the house, he didn't see Rory
"Ace?" He called out
"Bedroom!" He heard Rory shout from upstairs.
Logan made his way upstairs and when he walked into their room, Rory was sitting on the edge of the bed. "Hi" he kissed her
"Hi" Rory said as she nervously watched Logan walk into the bathroom. She knew what he was gonna find when he walked in there, and she knew he'd be happy, but for some reason she was still a little nervous.
"Are you serious?"
