In December, Rory and Logan started putting the baby's room together. At that point it was just a painted room with pictures halfway hung. No furniture built. No decoration. Just a room with one hanging picture.
"You're gonna hurt yourself" Rory said
"I know how to hang a picture" Logan said
"Yeah, I just saw how well you can hang a picture" Rory said. Logan was trying to hang the second picture and while he was doing the first one, he hit his hand with the hammer
"I can hang a picture"
"We should hire someone"
"I'm perfectly capable of hanging a picture in my daughter's room" Logan said. When Elise was pregnant with Oliver, she basically wanted nothing to do with Logan, or him helping prepare for the baby, so this time he wanted to be as involved as possible.
"Ok" Rory said. "Are you gonna do the rocking chair, too?"
Logan smiled. He knew Rory was excited to sit in the rocking chair. "That we might have to hire someone for" he said. He could put the chair together but he wanted to surprise Rory with it. When they went to pick out the furniture for the baby's room they didn't have the rocking chair that Rory really wanted so they picked a different one. Logan pulled some strings and managed to get the one Rory wanted. "I'll call someone tomorrow"
"Ok"

On Sunday Rory took Amelia shopping since she needed new clothes and the baby needed clothes.
"Pick something for Friday night dinner" Rory said.
"That one" Amelia said and pointed to a dark blue dress with white flowers on it.
"Ok so grab it and pick another one"
"What size?" Amelia asked
"I think 6, but let's get 6 and 7 and you'll try it on" Rory said
"Ok"
They finished picking out everything Amelia needed and then moved on to the baby section.
"Mama, look it's the like the dress I picked" Amelia said and picked up a onesie on the same pattern as one of the dresses she'd picked
"Should we get it for Bean?" Rory asked. Logan called the baby 'Bean' a few days before and it caught on.
"Yeah, then we can be outfit twins"
"Alright, outfit twins it is"
"Do you want to help me pick some pajamas?"
"Can we get pink ones?" Amelia asked
"We can get pink, but let's get some other colors too"
"The clothes are so little" Amelia said
"Well, babies are little"
"Bean is gonna be this little?" Amelia asked in disbelief as she held up a set of baby pajamas. It hadn't occurred to her until that moment that none of the kids had ever really been around babies before. Rory and Logan's friend's kids were all around the same age or older.
"Baby's gonna be smaller than that" Rory said. "She won't be that big until she's a few months old"
"Really?"
"She's gonna be the size of the clothes with the letter N stickers on them" Rory told her "the N means newborn"
"That's really tiny"
"Yeah, it is" Rory said. "You were that tiny once. You were actually extra tiny because you were born a little early"
"Really?"
"You weren't supposed to be born until after New Year's but you came before Christmas"
"Maybe I was just excited to get here"
"Maybe"
Amelia ended up picking a few matching outfits for her and the baby and when they got home she was extra excited to show Logan. When Amelia went to watch tv, Rory headed to the baby's room to put the clothes away. Logan followed Rory as she walked up to the nursery. When she opened the door she was surprised to see the whole thing set up. "What did you do?"
"You like it?" Logan asked. He'd set everything up exactly the way Rory had told him she wanted it and he was really hoping that she liked it.
"Did you do this by yourself? How did you get the rocking chair, everywhere we looked didn't have it"
"My incredible wife wanted something for our daughter, and I was gonna do everything in my power to make sure she got it" Logan said
"So basically money talks?" Rory asked. She wasn't unaware of the fact that Logan had connections to pretty much anything and everything you could imagine.
"Well, I didn't think you'd appreciate it as much of I put it that way"
Rory put her hand on Logan's cheek and kissed him softly "Thank you"
"Anything for you"

Logan was laying in bed with Rory's head on his shoulder, gently running his finger up and down her back. "I have to tell you something"
"What?" Rory asked
"So you know how our anniversary is on Saturday?" Logan asked. Obviously Rory knew that. They'd also decided to keep it low key, since Rory was nearing the end of her pregnancy and not really feeling amazing.
"Yes..." Rory said, already able to see where this was going.
"Well, I did plan something, but I can cancel if you don't want to go"
"What is it?" Rory asked.
"So that's the thing" Logan said "I'd really like it to be a surprise, but, I can promise you that it'll be super relaxing and that you love it"
"How relaxing is super relaxing?" Rory asked.
"Very"
"Ok"
"Ok as in you want to go?"
"Yeah"
"Perfect"
