Regulus' POV:

"Evan didn't change sides though," Dorcas is not angry with me anymore, but that does not mean she has forgiven Barty and Evan. "He could've. He should've, like you did. Didn't he see how much his decision was hurting Pandora, his bloody sister?!"

"He regretted his choice as much as I did in the end 'Cas." I'm alone in my fight to defend Evan, seeing as Marlene agrees with her girlfriend fully on this matter. "I told you how hard leaving His circle is. It's either staying or death with him, look at me: I died trying to leave."

"He could've done the same," Dorcas mutters, unphazed. "He's never been the one to be affraid of death now, has he?"

A chill runs down my spine and the air turns icy. Everything around quiets down in a heartbeat and all of the dead surrounding us look at us.

"Oof, she slayed that one," Lucifer whistles. God shoves him with disapprove. "Shut up, Lucifer, this is serious." With that, God walks off, to gather Evan, I assume.

"You don't mean that 'Cas." Immediately, she wants to open her mouth to deny it, tell me she did, in fact, mean this, but she closes her mouth again.

"What is this about?" Marlene asks Dorcas, an alarming look on her face. "Did he..."

"Yes," Dorcas whispers, not looking up to either of us. Her voice is shaky, but she recovers as quick as the shakiness had come. "But you better not tell anyone."

"You know I won't."

"Hello there." We all turn around to find God, accompanied by the one and omly Evan Rosier. He waves at Dorcas with a careful smile. It's awkward to look at, to say the least and I frown at him. "I've come in peace. Please don't kill me again, I know you'll want to, but I-"

"I'm not forgiving you," Dorcas snaps at him, before storming up to him and giving him a huge hug. "But I'm not going to kill you here, either."

Evan is clearly relieved to see Dorcas again in a peaceful way and he wraps his arms around her too. "I'm sorry 'Cas, I never should have done this."

"No, you shouldn't," she agrees, shrugging as she disentangles herself from his embrace.

He turns to me with a huge grin on his face. "I see the rumours were actually true: the great and almighty Regulus Black has come to pass." He traps me in a huge bear hug.

"Good to see you too, Rosier."

"So how did you die?" Evan asks, which has me explaining, again, how I died. It already annoys me and I'm going to have to do it so many more times. I can't believe this.

"I should tell you that Sirius really mourned about you, Regulus." Marlene tells me yet again, with an encouraging smile. Dorcas nods in agreement, but she picks up her mirror again and starts watching someone again.

"It's not that simple," I mutter, not looking at anyone. I want to just drop this conversa- tion, so I grab my own mirror and go on to watch James. You're hoping he will be here too, an annoying voice in the back of my mind tells me, as if it's teasing me. I scowl at myself and force the voice to go away. Shut up.

It still hurts to see James, especially now he has a kid with her too. He looks so happy with his little family, so at peace in the middle of the war. But I know that isn't the whole story: James Potter was always a great actor. But there's no doubt that he loves her, and their son. And he deserves that happiness, and so does Lily, she is an amazing woman. She used to defend me in front of McKinnon and McDonald because she saw right yhrough me, even though we never talked much. It still puzzles me to this day.
