Lance nearly shrieked and fell off the top bunk out of fright when he felt himself get shaken so much that he literally his head on the roof, he glared at his friend and only friend he really seemed to have and that he trusts. "Hunk, what the hell man!" he whined rubbing his aching head from the headache he just got. Why did he have to hit his head right where his cat ear was? Hunk was sheepish in apology, "Sorry man, but Commander Iverson said we had the simulator exam today. Remember?" if Lance didn't fall off the bed from fright he fell off from shock before rushing around the room and into the bathroom as quick as he could, he took a quick shower ignoring the white streaks in his hair. It seemed no matter how much he dyed his hair curtesy for Rachel's suggestion, white always appeared after a while which was odd to him since no one else in the house even had white hair, well, except Sylvio.

He put on his uniform while making sure the bandages where hidden under his sleeves and left the bathroom and dorm with Hunk to the simulator and met up with Pidge. He had a weird suspicion that Pidge wasn't what he seemed, even after the fact he's heard some of the Professors talking about how a girl hacked into classified information and was banned from the Garisson grounds. Honestly, he wished to meet her, maybe she could help him escape somewhere away from his family, but he would miss Rachel and two adorable children who were too innocent for this world and Lance firmly stands by that. Even if Luis was their father, he was a terrible father. Even Angela didn't take care of them like she should, so Lance took it upon himself to be the guide and parental figure those kids needed.

Speaking of the kids, he missed them. It hurt him mentally to leave them alone in that household, but he took a breath and followed after Hunk, he would go to the roof later tonight to just take his mind off things and look at the stars he craved to be among. He didn't know where or when the craving or urge started but he loved the stars, there was so much out there he didn't know about, that he wanted to explore.

He took a deep breath and Hunk gave him an encouraged pat on the back, Lance jerked a bit but ultimately shook it off and gave Hunk and nervous smile. He hoped he helped them pass this exam or he's so dead, maybe he can try running away? No, that didn't work last time, and he shuddered at the memory. Never again will he try that if he can avoid it. They met up with their technician for the exam and were up next but Lance wasn't too sure on this exam, they went into the simulator and did the exam, but Lance seemed distracted and when one of them yelled he flinched a bit too much then he meant too and made them crash. He turned in his seat guilty, "I'm sorry guys, I-i didn't mean too" he apologized, Pidge grumbled a small glare at him while Hunk gave him a sympathetic look.

They got lectured and Lance admitted it was his fault for crashing, so he took the brunt of it from Iverson even if he shrunk back a bit when the man got too close for comfort.

After that, Lance took off to the dorm to grab his satchel and put all of his close belongings in it, snatching up his anxiety meds, his panic attack meds and his heat pills and a small knife he's had for as long as he could physically remember. Most of his memories were fuzzy and dotted, it was hard to remember anything at all since he was five, but he always wondered why. Why couldn't he remember his childhood from before he was five, it made no sense to him. He mainly worried about the fact that Hunk may find his heat pills, he lied to everyone in the Garrison that he was a Beta. No one could find out he was an Omega he'd probably be more broken than he already was. He shook off his dark thoughts and changed his clothes in the bathroom after locking the door. As he unbuttoned his uniform shirt that was white and orange, the mirror reflected the scar that showed on his right shoulder like his skin was torched there. He put on a log sleeve blue shirt and then slid on the green jacket Veronica had gotten for both him and Rachel and then changed his pants where another scar was in the same shape and size as his right shoulder instead it was on his left thigh towards his waist and stopped 10 inches above his kneecap. He ignored the two scars that most would be highly concerned about and just slid his long light blue jeans on.

He needed a break, a major break, from harassment, from abuse, from being mentally, physically and emotionally drained. He wasn't sure how he's survived this long; he heard a few female Omegas talking in almost hushed whispers about one of their friends being completely broken it was driving her to suicide. He felt terribly bad for her and shared so much sympathy, if he knew her then they could probably comfort each other with their messed-up lives but sadly he's distanced himself from a lot of people, Professors and students alike. He was a little close with Shiro but after he was pronounced dead a year ago Lance remained distant and only had Hunk he wondered if he'll ever see Keith again, the Alpha was tempting and in Lance's opinion highly hot but because of that, Lance decided that his crush on the Alpha will remain secret for as long as he lived.

Honestly, how did Kogane make his heart beat so fast and his cheeks feel like they're on fire? He needed answers but he was never going to get them. Keith got expelled and Lance took his spot, though, he would have gotten it either way since of his piloting skills that earned his recognition but also made him a target. He took a breath once more and left the dorm towards the roof not noticing he was being followed.

Pidge slapped Hunk on the shoulder, it was three minutes before curfew hit for students and yet here, he and Hunk were following Lance. "Why are we following him again?" He hissed in a low whisper to Hunk who was set on following Lance because he was worried. "Look, I worry big time about him and after that lecture I have the urge to make sure he's alright" Hunk said as he quickly pulled Pidge and him behind a wall as Lance looked behind him like a small, confused puppy or kitten, he could pass as either or and then turned back around to go on his way again.

"I'm sure he's fine man, look he's fine" he gestured to Lance who opened the door to the roof and closed it behind him. "There's a difference between "Fine" when it comes to Lance, he would say he's fine, but I get the feeling it's the opposite of what he's trying to tell me" Hunk told him flatly and opened the door for him and Pidge to go up and closed the door behind them. "You think he's hiding something don't you?" It wasn't a question it was a statement; Pidge knew Hunk well enough by now to know how he functions around people. But he didn't know Lance well or long enough to know how he functions, maybe Hunk is just being a worry wart. It could be nothing by all means. "I definitely think he is I've been his dormmate since our first year in the Garrison. He was always shy and skittish but mostly short for his age, I've picked up a few things by being his roommate for a couple years" he knew Lance was a capable teen, he's a Beta after all, he knows how to take care of himself for the most part. "He's 17, isn't he? He's fine" Pidge tried to shrug off his worry but Hunk was determined, they reached the top of the stairs before Hunk opened the roof door and the breeze greeted them, Hunk looked ahead and saw Lance sitting on the edge of the roof, a bag of some sort at his side and looking at the stars.

Yep, something was wrong. "Something's wrong with him" Pidge looked confused, "He's just stargazing what's wrong with that?" he asked, "He usually does that when something is bothering him" Hunk walked past Pidge and he begrudgingly followed after him, Lance tensed suddenly when he heard footsteps behind him and turned to see who it was and instantly relaxed. Pidge found that a little odd. "Oh, hi guys, what are you doing here?" he asked hesitant, he had to take his eyes off the stars to see his crewmates. "What's wrong buddy? You don't come stargaze for fun when something is on your mind" Hunk took a seat next to him and Pidge decided to just do what he's been doing for the last year and listen to the conversation behind him. Lance looked surprised, "You think something is bothering me?" he asked, he knew something was on his mind, but he didn't know what. "I'm positive" Hunk nodded. "I miss my sister is all" he took a small breath, being careful to not let it be shaky. "You haven't seen her in a while?" Pidge asked logging into his computer with his back to the boys behind him, he sometimes question how Lance was only a couple feet taller than him when lots of boys his age were even taller than them together. Like Hunk, he was taller, and Lance reached at his shoulder while Pidge reached just above his hips.

Lance looked at his lap, he moved his bag to his lap and hugged it to his chest. "No, I haven't. Been a couple years now actually..." he didn't elaborate on why he hadn't seen her in a few years but both Hunk and Pidge figured she probably moved somewhere and hadn't made contact in that timeframe.

Lance suddenly felt a chill shifting through his body, he shivered. "You alright man?" Hunk asked him after noticing he shivered, "Yeah just a bit cold is all" he waved off the concern. It didn't feel cold so what was with the chill?
