Lance read peacefully in the castle's library; the quiet hum of the castle was a nice sound to listen to considering that a library was maybe supposed to be quiet? He wasn't completely sure since he's never been to one, but it seemed like libraries should be quiet however he liked the hum of the ship that he's grown accustomed to, it often calmed him when he had bad thoughts luckily, he had Voltron even if now three of them didn't exactly know what's going on.

He wondered if he should look into Altea's records because he was interested, and vaguely curious on how he can hear the Lions in his mind since not everyone could hear five different lions in their head but originally, he was supposed to only hear one lion but ended up hearing all of them. Was that even possible? It was a question that just would not leave his mind, he closed the book he had and got up from the couch that was by the wall, the library was overly huge, and he swore his neck hurt from trying to crane his neck to look at how high the shelves were, taking the leisure walk through the rows to put back the book he had and slid it back into the empty slot he got it from and looked at the sections. Now where would he find the history of Altea through the many books in here.

Sighing he decided to just read the titles on the sides and let his fingers glide across the covers, so much knowledge for possibly endless things, so many things he could spend hours reading. It had to be worth it, he was left out of basic knowledge if not for Rachel and Veronica's lessons on teaching him things he obviously showed much confusion to even now he's still wondering why. Why and how did he not know anything about Earth since he was 5 years old? It's a complete mystery. He wondered how Marco was, he hadn't heard much from them aside from very rare visits to see Rachel and him and his nephew and niece but often just used face time with Rachel to see the kids and her and check up on things, sadly he couldn't do much but he wasn't an asshole, he had a wonderful mate last he heard, a nice male Beta who had the best dinners that Marco was known to be boastful and showering his mate with kisses- Rachel screenshotted a picture and showed Lance, a good memory that he still giggles about- he wished he could have a happily ever after like Marco but not everything was nice to him, he took a breath to calm his anxiety and continued to browse. So far, no attacks have occurred, and they were steadily freeing planets from the Galra but still, he's being hunted and most of Voltron had no idea. Pidge got hurt and Keith was close to being hurt as well and it was all Lance's fault. If he didn't go to the roof to stargaze then maybe he would have helped save Voltron's lives in a safer objective, but... would he have met the lions if he didn't go to the roof? Blue filled in his question by answer, "No, it wouldn't have changed how he came back to her or their pride mates. She wouldn't leave Earth without him after he was taken from them" but he was confused, what did she mean by taken? She didn't answer since she didn't have all the details, but she and their pride mates were still investigating who took him that not even he can remember.

Shaking his head dismissing any thoughts of that thinking on memories that he can't even remember he decided to worry about it later, and turned his attention back to the books still very curious on how he could read Altean and understand it perfectly, Galra was a bit of a struggle but in the end he somehow managed and often helped Pidge with deciphering of what they found but he still struggled with Galran. Maybe it's just his Galra genes that helps him understand Galra but Altean? His father isn't an Altean but what about his mother? No, he has round ears so she couldn't be Altean and his pups? They boy have Altean marks on their cheeks that he covers up with make-up that matches their skin however he hopes Rachel helps them with the make-up, he didn't want them to get bullied like he's been. Oh, he misses them so much!

Looking at the titles he puffed his cheeks and looked down the row, too many damn books.

Sighing once again, he walked a bit more and landed on a small section of a bookshelf pressed against the wall, it was about thigh height and had a few items varied between a few books that were covered in dust but still in a good shape as if it was new, but then again, the library was frozen cold when he first found it. He shivered; it was so cold.
