"Okay, Luna-r Eclipse, grab the carton of eggs, and I'll grab the toilet paper." Vegas says.
I gape at him. "That's the best you can do? Teepee and egg the place and leave?" I smirk, but then scoff. "I thought better of you, Charming."
His mouth opens slightly. "This isn't your first time trashing someone's house is it? A first-timer would find it sinful and risky, but you, you want more."
I hold back a sigh. "You've uncovered yet another mask, V."
He frowns. "What?"
I shake my head, remembering the dream. "Nothing."
"Come on, then." He says. "We have a front yard to trash."
***
"Okay, which do you want to do first?" He asked me.
As soon as my eyes glanced at the house, I felt a surge of unexpressed anger. "Hand me the eggs."
He half smiled, and I felt a weird flutter in my stomach, that I was familiar with. Maybe I do like him. But I don't want to. I don't want to like anybody in that way.He passed me the eggs, and I took one out. I aimed it towards Callum's bedroom window, and threw it, watching it clash onto the glass. I take out another one, and sent it flying onto the front door. I just kept taking more out and throwing them, one after the other.
When there weren't any more chicken fetuses to destroy, I took a roll of toilet paper and run to the nearest tree. I wrap it around the leaves and branches, and run to the bushes like a maniac. I could hear Vegas laughing behind me. "Help me, will you?" I shout over the large yard. I proceed wrapping the paper rolls on random bushes and trees. But then my eyes meet something. I stop moving. "Vegas?" I ask quietly.
"Yes?"
"I found a hose." I start laughing. "What would make this so much better?"
"A hose."
I run up to the water source and turn the tap on. I put it on full blast and start watering the trees, especially the ones with toilet paper.
Vegas emerges next to me, and I turn the hose onto the mist section. the water shoots out like mist, and I smirk to myself. I turn around and spray Vegas. His jaw falls, but he quickly regains his senses, and at the last second, I realize that he's going to chase me. He's going to chase me! I must run!
I sprint across the yard, pointing the hose at Vegas, watching his hair flop onto his forehead, and listening to his laughter and watching how he flails his arms awkwardly as he runs, or is that him trying to catch me?
"Vegas!" I yell through my laughter as I run around the grass. "I'm puffing! Save me, Charming!" I drop the hose next to a bunch of toilet paper bushes, and fall on a part of the grass that wasn't egg, toilet paper or water infected. I lie down and stick my tongue out and close my eyes, playing dead. I hear him laugh, and then collapse next to me. I open my eyes and pull back me tongue, and chuckle. He's so close to me. I can feel his mouth breathing near my lips. He was staring right into me. I'm sure I'm blushing like crazy right now. I sigh softly. "If this is it, why the plates?"
He blinked. "It was a back up plan."
I frowned. "What would we do with plates?"
"The Greeks used to smash them to let out anger." He says. I nod.
"We should probably go now." He says.
"Yeah we should." I agree. I check my phone from my pocket. "Oh, shit!" I gasp. I jump up.
Vegas groggily stands up. "What's wrong?" he asks.
"The time! It's 3:00! People are leaving school as we speak."
He nods, "Come on, lets bring you home." We walked to his car.
I smirk as we buckled our seat belts. "Was that disappointment in your voice, my sweet Vegas?" I ask.
"Don't get too cocky, Luna. You know what cockiness did to the cat."
"That was curiosity, you dimwit." I say.
He rolls his eyes. "Just stop talking."
***
We had arrived at my house. I got out of the car with my school bag hanging on one shoulder. Vegas gets out of the car as well and walks over next to me.
"Now can I say thank you?" I ask him. He nodded. I took a deep breath. "Thanks, V."
He grins. "I hope you feel okay now." He says. "Text me if you don't, though. And tell Tyler, okay?"
I nodded. Before I knew it, Vegas' arms were wrapped around my back. I stood there in shock at first, but returned the hug. When he pulled back, I just stared at him. I'm probably coming off so creepy right now.
"See you later." I say. He nods and I turn on my heel and make my way up the porch and into my house.
I was smiling to myself, but it quickly went away when I saw my parents. They were staring at me. They're meant to be somewhere in Asia or something right now! What's going on? My dad took a step forward, towards me. He isn't smiling. Why isn't he smiling?
"Why weren't you at school?" He asked me.
And that's why.
