3 months later.
"Ugh!" Sadie groaned. "We can't afford any of these, L. What are we gonna do?"
"Are you kidding me?" I take the laptop form her hand. I look at the different computers displayed on the screen. Last week, my gorgeous little brother accidentally fried my Mac because he over-used it. In the heat of the Spring-Summer transition, of course my Mac overheated. My parents have been sucked dry of money because of my university fees, so I was using my savings. I didn't know that computers with over 4 gigs of ram (I need one with at least 8 gigs for all of the applications I need to buy for my Architecture course) could be so expensive.
"Wait." Angelo said, who was sitting next to Sadie. We were currently at the Rossi house, but Vegas was out buying Subway for all of us. We were sleeping over, since it was the last weekend before Angelo and Vegas leaves for their university education.
Luckily all four of us were going to RMIT University, so we aimed to get me and Sadie a dorm, and Angelo and Vegas one. Angelo was getting a degree in Engineering, (apparently he likes that, who knew), Vegas was going to start a course in fiction writing, and Sadie was trying with Exterior Design. It just happened to be that V and A started university on the same day, but me and Sadie had to wait another week."What's wrong, Angie?" I asked.
"My dad got back to me on the place we bought my laptop from, apparently it's really cheap."
I perk my head up. "What's it called?"
"MSY." He said. I searched it up on Angelo's laptop, and searched through the catalogue of the website. About half an hour later I found one that was in my price range, that was perfect. I grinned.
"Perfect. Thanks so much!" I squealed. I gave Angelo a hug.
The door had opened a few seconds later. "That'd be Vegas." I said. I got up to help him with the bags, when Sadie said something.
"What'd you say?" I asked.
"I said have you two done it yet?" I tried to stop from blushing. I really did.
"Oh my God!" Sadie said. "You two have had sex!"
"Shut up and sit down." I scowl. Angelo just looked uncomfortable. I glared at Sadie, but she smirked. I walk over to the front door. Vegas was wearing blue jeans, a white tee shirt and a light blue unbuttoned shirt on top. His hair flopped carelessly on his face. His eyes glowed.
I walk over, and help him put the bags into the bench silently. When our hands were free, I basically lunged at him. "I found a laptop!" I said, jumping up and down. He laughed, and kissed me once. "Oh, and Hi, Vegas." I said.
"Hello, Luna." He said, his voice smooth and deep, like always. I love it.
I kissed him again.***
I'm dreaming. I know that.
In fact, I'm dreaming of something I haven't dreamt of in a long while.
We were swaying to a song I know was from Louis Armstrong because of my older brother's random tenth grade Jazz phase. I looked at Vegas, who's dancing with me. His mask is still on, even though I know who he is and he knows who I am."Honey?" He said.
"Yes?" I replied, my voice came out muffled because I'm leaning into his chest, which smells like mint and soap, a combination I am familiar with now.
"I know odds are we won't be together for the rest of our lives, but does that matter?"
I contemplated it. "No," I said. "It doesn't, but it would be a shame to not love you forever. You're the only one who uncovered all of my masks."
"You're the only one who has uncovered all of mine." He repeated.
"And, it's not like loving each other forever is impossible." I said. "My grandparents got married when my grandma was sixteen and my grandpa was twenty-five, and they're still together."
"I'd like our relationship not to be illegal, though."
I scoffed. "My grandparents got married in Cyprus, where they lived. It wasn't illegal there. Plus, they migrated to Australia and it still wasn't illegal."
"Okay, okay, fine." He said. "I didn't know you were Greek Cypriot."
I scoffed. "I'm not, they lived there, but they didn't come from there."
"Oh." He said. "So-ree."
I woke up. It was three in the morning. I was next to Vegas, who was shaking my shoulder. "What?" I groaned. It was pitch black in here, but his skin was so light it almost shone.
"You're my best friend." He said quietly. "You know that, right?"
I blinked. "Yeah." I replied. "What's wrong?"
"Just a dream." He said.
"Do you want to explain it?" I asked softly.
"No." He said. "I just..." he paused. "I just want you to know I love you more than anything. No matter what. I really am in love with you."
I paused. What did he see? "I'm in love with you too, Vegas." I say. "More than I want to admit."
I was suddenly cold, and I'd like to believe it's because I'm only wearing underwear, but it's Sprummer right now and it is hotter than ever.
"Love me no matter what, Luna-r Eclipse?"
"Love you no matter what, Las Vegas."
