I woke up, and checked the time. 11:30. 7th of June, Sunday. It's been a few weeks since I met Adam, Sadie's brother, and Vegas had kissed me, despite the fact that he was closer to another girl. I also found out that Vegas knows Tyler, and somehow doesn't want me to know. After talking to Tyler about this, I had realised why. According to Tyler, Vegas was a pretentious ass. I could almost fit Vegas' personality into that description. Almost. I rub my eyes and hear my phone ring. I drop it onto my chest in shock. I picked my phone back up and squinted to read the contact name. Las Vegas.
I answer the phone, still rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. "What?" I groaned.
"That's nice. Hello to you too." He replied. He sounded awake. It's Sunday. He should be sleeping in.
"What do you want?" I snapped again. I don't know why I was being rude, we were on good terms.
"I'm at the front of your house. Open up." Then he shut the phone. Did he say he was at the front of my house?
I crawl out of bed and brush my hair and teeth. I keep my black tights on, and change into a grey Adidas jumper. I walk over to my room window, which looks out to the front yard, and open it. Sure enough, Vegas was leaning on the front door.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I hissed. He jumped, but then looked at me, and a grin played at his lips."Your brother invited me for breakfast. You didn't know?" He asked. "Oh, by the way I know your brother Tyler."
"He told me." I said.
"How did he know you know me?"
I felt my face redden. Oh I was just telling him about you kissing me and how you got me food and I thought that was weird an all, but yeah, no biggie. "It happened to come up in the conversation we were having." I lied.
"Oh-Kay then." He said. "Now hurry up and open the door for me, you horrible host!"
I roll my eyes and shut the window. I walked over to Tyler's room, and banged my fist on the door. Nobody answered. I opened the door, and his room was neat and clean. That's... new.
I heard a faint whistling from downstairs, so I made my way down. In the kitchen, I saw Tyler, making breakfast. I felt my eyes widen, since he never cooks, and when he does it's a train wreck, yet here he is, stacking pancakes on top of each other."Morning, Luna." He says.
"Morning, asshole."
He scoffs. "Open the door for him already."
I made my way to the front door. I swing it open and Vegas falls backwards. He was leaning on the door again. I stumble as I try to catch him, and thankfully succeed. "Don't you people knock?" He jumps. I smirk at his comment as I observed him.
He was wearing a brown, blank jumper and dark blue jeans. His hair was disheveled from the fall and his eyes were darting around the house."We don't knock to outside, you idiot." I scowled. He glared at me and I shrugged.
I turned to Tyler. "Where's Raymond?" I ask him.
"Right here." I see a hand point out from behind the couch.
"You have another brother?" Vegas asks.
I nodded. "I hate to admit."
Raymond stood up from the couch and scowled at me. "You must not tell lies." He said. I recognised the quote as soon as he said it. Dolores Umbridge, Harry Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix. "Oh, hi." He told Vegas. I cringe at the awkwardness my brother manages to put upon himself and lead Vegas to Tyler, in the kitchen.
"Why are you here?" I hissed at Vegas as quietly as I could.
"Your brother invited me. I told you that already." He said quite loudly, earning a groan from me. "Where's you parents?" He asked.
