I hugged my brother and thanked him for driving me to the Rossi house. He said it doesn't matter and I had gotten out and rang the doorbell and was invited in before Tyler left.
I was greeted by Vegas. He was wearing tight black jeans and a My Chemical Romance jumper. It was the same design as my MCR jumper, except in male sizing. His hair flopped on top of his eyes, which were glowing with joy, I assume. He was smiling ear-to-ear.
I greeted him with a smile and what was intended to be a short kiss, but as soon as our lips locked he put force... passion... into it. I kissed back, and for a few minutes we just stood there, too caught up in the kiss to do anything else.
I pulled back. "What exactly happened?" I asked him.He grinned. "Come with me."
He led me into the house, and barely gave me a chance to greet my two other friends, who were talking at the kitchen bench. He didn't even give me a chance to say hi to Angelo's parents.
He sat me down on his bed, after forcing me excitedly up the stairs and down the hallway.
I noticed that today his room was a lot cleaner than the last time I saw it. There were less things on the dresser and bedside tables and the bed was made, and even though the moonlight was dull against the curtains, it gave the room a natural light, despite the normal yellow-ish lightbulb being on.
I stare at Vegas. "So?" I asked.
"I was having dinner with Angelo's parents and him and we were talking about my house business." He said. "And then Antonio suggested that they adopt me and I was like 'woah no, dude, that'd be such a burden.' And they were like 'you're like our son anyway' and so we kept discussing and they are adopting me."
I grin, and pull Vegas into a hug. "I'm so happy for you." I said. "You deserve this and so much more, Charming." I sit on his lap and just stare at him. "Are you drunk, by the way? You sound it."
He chuckled. "No, just happy."
I pulled back from the hug and just stared at him. His eyes are so dark but so bright. I haven't seen them like this before, not only inviting and warm but also had a layer of satisfaction in them. His forehead and cheeks are wrinkling from his smile, and its beautiful. He's beautiful.
"Are you staring at me?" He asked. I blinked a few times and them scoffed.
"No." I said unconvincingly.
"I think you were."
"Well," I said. "I wasn't so shush."
He rolled his eyes dramatically. "Whatever." He said.
I took his hand and folded it into mine. "I'm so happy for you."
He grinned weakly. "Thank you."
I took him into my arms, tears almost coming out of my eyes. He's going to have a family. All I wanted is for him to be happy.
Vegas chuckled. "Any harder and I'll explode." I laughed at his comment, and let go of his body.
I held out an invisible cocktail glass. "Here's to a new chapter."
He repeated my actions. "To a new chapter."
Yeah. I like him. I really, really do.

I saw Lisa alone downstairs at the kitchen bench on her phone, but she lowered it when I sat next to her.
"How did it go?" She asked.
I sighed, satisfaction putting a smile on my face. "Good. Actually, that's like the understatement of the year. He's thrilled that you're letting him be a part of the family. He sees you and Mr Rossi as inspirations. He loves you two."
"I'm glad to know." Said Lisa. "He seemed to shocked to say anything when we told him. Anyway, speaking of Col. How does your relationship with him go?"
I grinned. "When you told me you think he loves me, I didn't believe you. But I do now. I think he's in love with me." I said.
"And how does that make you feel?" She asked.
"Happy." I replied. "Because I think I'm in love with him, too."
Lisa smiled. "I called it."
I let out a loud laugh. "You're surprisingly similar to your stepson." I said.
Lisa smiled. "Thank you." She said. "But don't forget what you and I have in common."
"What's that?" I asked.
"We were both chosen by two incredible men."
I nodded. "Yeah, we were."

A/N
This is the last chapter, but there will be a sequel.
It's been so amazing to share this first book with you, the journey Vegas and Luna and everyone else in this book have been inspirations to me, even if I'm the one who wrote them.
I guess the thing that is so amazing about writing is that the characters you write are all a part of you. I see myself in every one of these characters. From Vi to Billy, I see myself. And then I see you guys in it as well. The cheerfulness and persistence of Sadie, the kind heartedness of the Rossi household, it's reminded me of my friends online. Those who've picked me up on Wattpad, or followed me from Instagram. I never really had friends in real life. I escape into my books and into this community online. It's the first place I've felt I can be me. And when I did that, I guess I turned me into a book. Into this book.
So here's to Luna, Vegas, Angie, Sadie, and Vi. And to you guys.
Here's to a new chapter.
