I went to my backyard and peeked over the fence separating my backyard with the Schreave's. I saw Maxon sitting on his back porch, reading his book.
"Maxon!" I half whispered, half yelled.
"Maxon!" I said a little louder.
"MAXON!"
He dropped his book and yelled. I started giggling. He bent down to pick up his book, and when he got back up he saw me. He made a sly little smirk that I caught. He walked over to me and opened the door on the fence and walked into my backyard.
"Hey America," he said in a manly voice. He pulled me into a deep kiss.
"Hey Maxon, I missed you," I said and hugged him.
"We saw each other just -"
"Shush I missed you."
I could feel his smile while I was hugging him.
"Come on, let's go somewhere," Maxon said as he pulled away from my embrace.
"Wait, I have to take May to the library. She has to return her books," I said remembering my responsibility Mom left me with.
"Ok, I'll come with you guys!" Maxon said smiling.
"Ok hang on let's go to my house so we can pick up my little sister," I said grabbing his hand and pulling him to my house. We went in through the back door. Mom and Dad left May and I home alone, but May had to go to the library.

"May, come on let's go to the library, Maxon is coming with us."

"Oh, your new boyfriend is tagging along now is he," I saw her smirk at us.

"May, come on," I said giving her a deathly stare.

"Fine but he is your boyfriend, I know you two probably already even kissed," she said turning her back to us to grab her back and books.

I blushed madly and I could see Maxon's eyes on me.

"Ok let's go. Remember you guys, no inappro-pro stuff in front of me. Or I will be scared for life," May said walking in front of us, not even turning her back to talk to us. Oh May. I can bet she was smirking. I felt Maxon squeeze my hand and I looked up at him to see him smirking too. Gosh, I was blushing madly.

The walk to the library was quiet and peaceful. The library isn't that far away from my house. When we arrived to the library, May ran off the return her books and looked and more books. Maxon and I wandered around the library together.

"Maxon."

"Yes, my dear."

"Do you know much I want to punch you for saying that?"

"My dear? But you are my dear," he said kissing my knuckles.

"Maxon," I said again.

"Yes, what is it?" he said softly.

"Did you sign up for the selection?" I asked quietly.

"Yes, I thought it was an opportunity. But obviously I didn't get selected and I met someone better than any princess," he said taking me into a small hug. I squeezed him in my hug. He pulled away a few inches so that he could see my face. He tucked a strand of my red hair away and tipped my chin up. He grabbed a book, opened it, and hid our faces with it. Then he pulled me into a small faint kiss on my lips. I gasped because it was very sudden. He pulled away and smiled. I took his face with both of my hands and pulled him into a deep kiss. I felt him gasp and my harshness but he eased out. He kissed me back with passion. I gasped his name and a tiny moan slipped out of my lip when I felt his other hand near my hip, but he crushed his lips with mine before I could say anything else. When I pulled away and looked deep into his eyes, I could see the love he had for me burning inside within him.

"America, I think I've gone head over heels for you."

"Me too, Maxon," I said touching his cheeks softly.
When Maxon put his book down, the librarian stood there with an angry look on her face.

"The library is for reading and studying, not making out," she said aggravated.

"Sorry miss, promise it won't happen again," Maxon smiled brightly showing some teeth to the librarian. The woman smiled back as if she never saw anything happen.

"Did you see that?" Maxon asked to me.

"See what?"

"My charming beauty makes everyone fall in love," Maxon said warmly to me.

"Oh shut up Maxon," I said elbowing his stomach.

"America?"

"Yes Maxon."

"Where's May? It's been over an hour, we should be heading out now," Maxon said worriedly.

"Let's go find her."

We searched everywhere for May, but we didn't find her.

"Maxon! Did you find her?" I asked out of breath. My heart was racing so fast. May was nowhere to be found.

"No, and I suppose you didn't either," Maxon said solemnly.

May was lost.
