Heartfelt Pink
Pour me a drink, so I can drown in pink,
parading elephants straight off a cliff.
From a shore of lies, I'll swim and sink,
no bottom, 'cause feelings run deep,
while words drift fickle and sell for cheap.
So, spare me a nickel, I'll send you a wink.
No sleep for me, just life on the brink.
Frigid Blue
Pour me a brew, so I can drown in blue.
Lost in the haze of a Monday's déjà vu,
frost colours the view of morning dew.
But your smile burns red, a warning hue.
A way, tried and true, to tame the shrew
that furrows and burrows for life anew.
Boastful White
In the sun's light, I'll go with white.
A sword, not a flag, waves the knight.
Her lord is might, her cause is right,
old slave that soared to great heights.
I'll brave the night to conquer this life.
Understanding Violet
In the hours of twilit, I'll go with violet,
a shrinking light on my islet of flowers.
And between these rivulets and showers,
I'll thread a needle through life's eyelet.
