As soon as Stevie got into her house, she went about putting her new things away; hanging up her new clothes, settling the things for Ireland on the bed so she could see them as soon as she got there and then she put her new pieces of decor up.
After doing so, she decided to pick out some of the flowers from all the bouquets she had received and headed back out like she had initially planned; she simply wanted to make a stop, and considering she invited the Buckinghams, she wanted to run to the grocery store for a few extra things.
Before making her way to the store, she found herself wandering the park and watching the children play, waving and or saying "hello" to a few people she knew and after bypassing as many people as she could, she found herself at the cemetery.
Overlooking the flat and standing stones, she made her way over to husband's and she sighed.
Kneeling to the ground, she sat comfortably on her bottom and she placed the flowers, laying on their side as she stabilized herself with one hand.
"Oh, honey... I miss you so much," she bit her bottom lip. "I know how much you loved attention, but you know I hate standing out in this little town... I appreciate the thought and care, but I just wanna be left alone. I only stayed here because of you, and I'm in our home because it's ours and but I've been so isolated and alone since you left... It's becoming depressing and the only thing that's ever made me feel up when I've been down is you and you're not here to comfort me anymore. I miss your hugs, your kisses... I remember all the love like it was yesterday. Every time we made love, celebrated our birthdays, anniversaries, everything. It's shocking to me that it's been five years. Five years ago, I would have never believed this is where we'd be; Trevor and me... You'd just adore Ireland, sweetheart. She's so precious. If you were around, you'd definitely be her favorite," she giggled but then went silent, letting her tears form in her eyes. "I don't know how to deal with this pain... You loved me all my life. You and my dad were the only men in my life... I mean, my brother too, but it's not the same as a father's love, not the same as yours... I want so bad to go home and see my mom, I want my family, but I don't want anybody to feel sorry for me. I hate everybody feeling sorry for me. I just want to live... So be it if I'm alone or not?" she sighed. "And the irony of it all; the whole damn town feels they should mourn for me, then I hang out with Lindsey and they look at me like it's wrong... Including Trevor..." she rolled her eyes and paused when she began thinking about the guitarist. "He's been a great friend, since he and I met," she patted her face of the tears that had fallen. "Shelly is just the sweetest... I appreciate her enjoying the fact that he and I talk and such things because she hates that he's alone. I feel so bad for her-- Well, I don't feel bad that her mother walked away from her life, that was for a reason and she's a great young lady, but I do feel bad she had no role model. Overall, I just adore them and I think you would love Shelly as well. I'm surprised we never talked to the Buckinghams before; you and Lindsey would have probably hit it off..." she grinned momentarily. She then paused and took a deep breath. "I'll be back next soon, my love..." she picked up one of the roses and she kissed it gently before putting it back down. She then stood up and dusted off the grass before rubbing his headstone and walking off.
...
Right at seven p.m. there was a knock at the door as the dancer was sipping her red wine from a glass.
She then walked over towards the foyer and she smiled happily.
"Hi, guys," she stepped aside.
"Hey," Lindsey grinned, guiding his daughter forward.
"Hi, Stevie... My gosh, your house is so gorgeous," Shelly beamed, eyes roaming the cathedral ceilings, the wood floors, her large china cabinet and the Persian rugs.
