as the night ended, ning and minjeong were heading back to minjeong's apartment

"soooo... did you have fun?" ning asked, mainly asking so that she could see if minjeong would smile and say yes. a small sigh was let out from minjeong

"yes, actually. i did" the second those words left minjeong's mouth, ning was squealing.

"yeah okay tomato face, i saw how you were with aeri" ning immediately went quiet

"i wasn't that red!! and we're just friends, nothing more" she became shy after being called out by her best friend.

"first of all, yes you were that red. jimin and i noticed it, and second, i think you should go for it. she seems interested in you too." minjeong wanted to see her friend happy

"is this you trying to get rid of me?" ning asked jokingly

"yes ning, i hate you so much i'm sending you off to annoy someone else" minjeong sarcastically replied.

"my heart. my poor heart has been broken" ning dramatically held her heart, and the pair's laughter could not be contained. once they reached minjeong's apartment, she handed ning some clothes. since it was late, she didn't want ning walking to her apartment by herself. as they were getting ready for bed, minjeong's mind was filled with thoughts. specifically, thoughts of jimin. she didn't expect herself to have as much fun as she did, she thought she would regret going, but she didn't.

instead, she loved every second. she didn't feel pressured to talk to these new people. she liked how patient and understanding they were. however, knowing minjeong, she was ready to get back to studying and camping away in her apartment. it didn't take the pair long to fall asleep, since they were already exhausted from their night out. minjeong was always the first to wake up, she was an early bird. no matter what time she fell asleep. the sun always woke her up, but if ning ever spent the night, she'd wake up and close the curtains immediately, just so ning could sleep more. it was 7:30 in the morning, and minjeong decided to get out of bed. she quickly washed her face and brushed her teeth before heading out to the kitchen. grabbing a few ingredients to make some breakfast for her and ning.

once she finished up, she quickly took a shower. though she loved to cook, she hated smelling like food afterwards. she didn't think food smelled bad, but she didn't like the smell of it on her or her clothing. so she went back to her room, grabbed her clothes, and took a quick shower. once she finished, ning had woken up.

"good morning sleeping beauty, whenever you're ready there's breakfast." minjeong said

"thanks minjeong, you're the best!" ning excitedly got out of bed, she loves minjeong's cooking and will get up immediately, even if she'd prefer to stay in bed as long as possible. as she approached the kitchen, minjeong had finished setting up their plates and drinks.

"i know we talked about this on the way back, but i'm really really glad you went last night. thank you for coming" ning said

"i'll admit, i had more fun than i had expected. though i think my social battery might be drained for the next week" they both chuckled

"yeah.. no. since you had fun i get to drag you out still" ning replied with a smirk

"yeah yeah whatever ning, but not too much. i do have exams still"

"oh come on, you're like the smartest person here. you don't need to study, you basically already know everything"

"just because i'm the smartest, doesn't mean i already know everything. besides i like to do my work and learn more so i'm ahead. is that so wrong?"

"no, but it does make you sound like a nerd. i know you don't like people, but you can still at least have fun and do things that does not consist of studying"

"i'm aware, but i like my studying"

"you seriously have no other hobbies? drawing? painting? playing an instrument? i don't know literally anything that isn't studying. i feel like for as long as i've known you i haven't seen you do anything except for study"

"i mean, fair i guess, but like still i just like to study"

"you know what, i'm going to get aeri's friend to open you up more"

"and why not yourself?"

"because i've tried.. also i asked you to sing a song with me and you said that you'll think about it, but when jimin asked you immediately said yes. so, i think she might just be my secret weapon" they both laughed at each other

"ha ha very funny, i only said yes to be nice, i didn't want to seem rude"

"but she also gave you an option not to, because they already knew that you were shy and anxious.. but you still said yes" ning was smirking, as if she was trying to get minjeong to spill something

"i just felt like i had to be nice, that's all"

"yeah okay, deny it minjeong, i know you wanted to sing with herrrr" she sung towards the end

"okay and you deny your feelings for aeri, miss tomato"

"hey! i don't have any feelings for her! she's just pretty and makes me nervous..." ning defended herself

"yeah okay... in denial again... seriously i think you should just go for it"

"i don't even know if she feels the same way though, and i don't want to risk anything"

"so you do have feelings. point proven, but anyway, you guys click together, and you didn't hear this from me, but jimin said that aeri talks about you a lot. so, i say just go for it"

"yeah whatever you got me i do have feelings, but i don't even know what to do!! how do i even go about it?" ning was worried, she liked aeri so much, but had no idea how to approach it.

"just ask her to get some coffee, something easy so that you guys can get to know each other better. even if you're already friends, you can have a deeper connection and learn more. just be honest with her." minjeong said

"how should i ask her though? should i text her? should i show up to her place? i don't know what to do!"

"me personally, i would ask her in person to show that you're serious. i don't know, maybe get her some flowers. tell her that you do like her and that you want to get to know her better, then just ask her out on a date. the worst she could say is no"

"i hate that you're right. whatever" ning picked up her phone and started typing

"what are you doing?" minjeong curiously asked

"seeing if she's busy. if i let the momentum go away i'll get too scared. so if she isn't busy i'm going to her apartment and asking her out on a date." as soon as she finished speaking, her phone went off. it was aeri letting her know that she was free. ning replied saying she was going to stop by because she had to ask her something.

"go get her tiger!" minjeong squealed as ning left her apartment.
