Honestly hanging upside down is quite interesting, it helps me think, plus it's funny to see Nyima's reactions to finding me in places while upside down. Plus I can tell she has a lot of questions how I can do it. Even though I'm trying to figure that one out myself.
Although I have been teaching her how to ride a motorcycle, which she's been doing a good job at as Blue and I would be running next to her, well me being in Raptor form. Blue doesn't exactly trust her to be on her own without one of us keeping an eyes on her. Probably because every time she has left our sight so far she has almost been eaten, hurt or had a run in with others that could kill her.
Yeah, the Dilophosaurs weren't the only close call she had. We went to main street for a bit and she disappeared to explore some of the shops. Except she had made her way to Rexy's paddock where she saw her nest. Which by the way is huge compared to Scarlet's. Except she ended up almost being seen by Rexy when she was making her way out of Rexy's paddock. Yeah, Blue gave her a lecture and by now I'm genuinely not surprised that she has started to be able to understand Blue.
Although two days later she had a run in with the three Baryonyx brothers, Grim, Chaos and Limbo. Yeah, Blue told me all about that. Apparently she was observing a herd of Parasaurolophus and they showed up. In other words he was not happy when he came back with Nyima looking like a kicked puppy. He even started going on about how she is just as bad as Echo. Unfortunately he's not wrong. Especially with her disappearing acts. So the nickname of 'Human Echo' has stuck to her.
At the current moment she was busy writing in a book I had giving her to write into, while I was busy watching all the Dinosaurs at the watering hole drink and relax not worrying about being hunted or hunting, just coexisting with each other. It was refreshing and awesome to witness how they all have found a common ground where they all get along. It's nice.
"Nyima seems to be calm and deep in thought," Blue's voice caused me to look over at him.
"Yeah, I've noticed," I responded as he gave the side of my head a nuzzle which I returned.
"You think you'll be okay with her on your own while I disappear?" He questioned me. To be honest I don't blame him considering how much trouble she gets into. Then again one can only imagine how much trouble the other campers have gotten into.
"I'll be fine. Plus it's not like she does it on purpose," I told him causing him to give a nod in agreement.
"True, but she really does remind me of Echo. Especially with her disappearing acts," he grumbled fondly as he looked over to the teenager who was busy writing in her small journal. While fiddling with the whistle chamber hanging from her neck.
"She does doesn't she?" I murmured.
"I'll see you and her later. Stay safe and out of trouble. I mean it," Blue told me causing me to roll my eyes at him as I nodded before he ran off.
What he's doing is going on a hunt, while also going to see if he can find any recent traces of humans being on the Island. That way we'll know if there is someone here or not. Plus it would be nice to help Nym reunite with her sister and friends again, that way her and her sister can patch up their relationship.
It's not hard to tell that she misses them. I don't blame her for that either. If I'm being completely honest, I miss my parents, I also miss Charlie, Delta and Echo. Although sometimes I can still feel Echo pressed right against me, feel her blood seeping onto my skin. I miss the chaos twins and the little shadow who'd follow me around before trying to surprise me with snuggles.
But I hope one day Wu comes back to the Island because I really do want revenge for everything he has done. Because karma is coming for him one way or another and he'll not be able to escape it when it does. I'll personally see to it.
"Hi Nix," she greeted me as she sat next to me where I was perched on a warm stone ledge.
"Hey Nym," I returned the greeting.
"Where'd Blue go?" She asked while looking around for the male.
"He's gone to hunt, while he is also trying to find any traces of humans," I told her while gesturing towards the direction that Blue had gone in. I didn't really feel like turning human, so, I'm going to test her to see how good she has gotten at understanding Blue and I. Mainly me when I'm in this form.
"So, he's gone to hunt?" She inquired as I gave her a small nod in response.
That was when I turned back into a human as I sat next to the blue haired girl. "You're getting better," I complimented her.
"Thanks. It's still a little hard to fully tell what you and Blue try to say at times though," she muttered.
"Well, you've still improved a lot. Also Blue's also looking for any trace of humans being on the Island as well," I told her.
"Why's he doing that? Are you already trying to get rid of me?" She playfully asked, which caused me to give her an amused look.
"Nah, just thought we might as well try and find out if Ben also survived. And whether or not the others got of the Island or not," I responded as I looked back out towards the Dinosaurs that were just living their lives not afraid about anything or even worried. They were just being.
"It would be nice to find out if Ben's okay," she commented a small smile on her face.
That was when she suddenly became quiet as a look flashed across her face as she frowned. She was definitely deep in thought about what? I have no idea, but I am sure that she'll snap out of it. Eventually.
I watched/felt her jump when I had placed a hand on her shoulder as she quickly looked at me in alarm. That caused me to look at her in concern. I will admit I was also curious about what was playing on in her mind.
"You okay?" I asked her gently.
She opened her mouth to respond but she then closed her mouth as she looked down getting lost in her thoughts again. I could tell she was worried about something. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with her sister and friends.
"Hey, I'm sure Ben's alright. Along with the others," I told her gently while lifting her head up slightly in order for her to look at me.
"That's not it. I mean, I am worried about them, but that's not exactly what's bothering me," she spoke as we made eye contact. I was both curious but also worried as it seems to be weighing down on her quite a bit.
"I'm just worried that if I ever find the others or find a way home, I might never see you again. That scares me, because I've grown attached to you and Blue more than I had when the Park was still functioning. Then these stupid feelings I have just won't leave alongside that feeling of dread because I'm terrified that I'd lose you. Also would the others even be happy or relieved to see me? I just . . . It's hard to explain," she rambled a bit, sighing as she looked out towards the Dinosaurs that were in the area, before turning back to me as I tilted my head.
"Hey, even when you join back up with your friends. Blue and I will still be around, whenever you need us. Plus it won't be the last time you see of us. The future is full of uncertainty and mass amounts of unknowns. What I do know, is that we'll always be with you. In here," I reassured her as I pointed at her heart and head while giving her a small smile.
"Plus you also have the whistle chamber," I pointed out as I revealed the whistle chamber from where she had tucked it into the hoodie that I had given to her when we were still at the bungalow when we were still recovering.
Hopefully that gave her some hope for this uncertain future and unpredictable world. Because I know that even when we do go our different ways it won't be the last we see of each other. Although I am curious about these so called feelings of hers. So, I am not going to waste an opportunity to tease her.
"Also what was that about feelings?" I smirked at the girl while raising a brow as her face suddenly broke out with a blush. That caused me to bite back a laugh.
"You heard nothing!" She yelped as she attempted to stand only to misplace her foot on the rock ledge only she wound up falling into the water below.
I looked over the side to see her make her way back up to the surface, but I couldn't help chuckling at how amusing it all was. Especially when she looked up at me causing me to lower my hand as an offer to help her up.
