Memory lane

A/n: sorry that I haven't updated in a while. I've just been dealing with a lot of family drama since my gran passed away, but I'll try updating. Also at some point I will be publishing a book called the Blue Haired Angel. It's a story passed on the Camp Cretaceous series.

I was watching the three younger Raptors run around, while I was still leaning against Blue as he seemed to be enjoying the shade that the tree provided, but he then nudged me and asked, "what are you thinking about?" "Just the Camp Cretaceous kids," he tilted his head before asking, "what about them?" "I can remember two of the kids in the Raptor Paddock and you guys thinking about eating them," he chuckled at that before the memory popped into my mind.

I was trying to get some sleep after a long day, when all of a sudden I jolt up and out of my bed as I felt like something was wrong with the Raptors and that's when I heard both mine and Dad's phones going off and I bolted to the kitchen as Dad also came out of his room while throwing a shirt on. When I saw the message on my phone, I growled as I turned to my Dad and ask, "who would want to break into the Raptor Paddock?" He shrugged as he said, "someone with a death wish" he then went to his room to put on some footwear, while I ran to my room and just put on whatever I could find. (A/n what she is wearing in the memory is up top, while what her pajamas are at the bottom). I then bolted out of my room and did a dead man's bolt to the Raptor Paddock as I had heard my Dad just coming out of the small house we have.

When I got to the Paddock I saw a pink haired girl as she was yelling at the two kids who were in the Raptor Paddock and I noticed one of them was Kenji. A kid that likes to try and flirt with me. I didn't even have to think twice as I jumped into the Paddock in front of the dark skinned kid in a yellow hoody, so that I was between him and the Raptors, as I looked Blue in the eye daring him to try anything. I then said to the kid behind me, "start backing up slowly and don't make any sudden movement" the kid made an agreeing noise to let me know he understood. That's when the lights around the Paddock turned on, causing me to wince as I had to shield my eyes from the sudden brightness, but I did hear the gate opening, along with Roxie yelling at the Raptors to get the meat before telling the kids to get out. I looked at Blue and motioned for him to go get the meat, he gave a nod before going to where the others went. I stayed in the Paddock to keep the Raptors calm, knowing that some people from Security were coming to secure the Paddock.

After a while dad ended up sending me home to get some more sleep, so I did as I was told and went back home where I then got back into my pajamas and climbed into bed, although I knew it would take a while for sleep to actually come. But I had a feeling that I would need to talk to those campers tomorrow.

Blue just nodded as he agreed, "I can remember that night very well," I chuckled replying, "at least that yellow-hooded kid, Darius was brave enough to save Kenji," Blue growled as he declared, "that kid should've let me eat the other one. Because I have had enough of him flirting with you and making you uncomfortable," I smiled at his concern before saying, "Kenji's just a flirt. I get uncomfortable around people," Blue just gave a short nod before stating, "still don't like him near you" I chuckled at that before resting against him, he then laid his head on my lap and closed his eyes as I petted him which caused him to purr. I then noticed that he fell asleep, a blush coming to my face as Echo awed, "now that's just too cute," Delta laughed, "I mean duh. It's obvious that they have an unbreakable bond-" Charlie then cut her off, "if only they would admit that they are mates" when they looked at me, they laughed as Echo giggled, "you don't need to be embarrassed. We're just saying the truth," that made me cover my face as I mumbled, "that's not helping". Echo then mentioned, "also I miss that blue haired girl that you introduced us to," Charlie, Delta and I just chuckled at that but we all agreed with her, despite the sudden change of subject.

I shook my head as I watched Charlie and Delta bicker over who the better tracker is out of the pair of them. Before turning my attention to Echo as she said, "I love our little family," I smiled softly as I agreed, "same. I'd hate it if anything happened to you. Any of you," she then proceeded to rub her head against mine before laying down next to Blue and I, as she said, "I don't want to lose any of you either," I gave her head a pat as I spoke softly, "I'll do everything I can to prevent you from losing any of your siblings," she looked at me with a look of hope as she asked, "Promise?" "Promise." We both jumped a little as Blue in a tired daze threatened, "we better not lose you either, or we will hunt you down," I playfully rolled my eyes, "go back to sleep Blue," he just huffed opening an eye to look up at me, before closing it and drifting back to sleep. When Echo and I looked at each other we chuckled softly, before Echo got serious as she demanded, "You better be safe as well Phoenix," "I will don't worry," she gave me an uncertain look before smiling as she decided to rest against me as we watched Charlie and Delta play fight.
