Trouble

Well dad went into the lab, while I waited for him as I won't go into the lab unless I absolutely have to.

When Dad got out of the lab he seemed even more pissed than when he went in there and I said, "let me guess you couldn't talk to Wu, because he wasn't there?" Dad nodded and I could tell he wanted blood. We then went down stairs as we were going to go back to the Raptor Paddock.

When we got down to the lobby we saw mum walking around nervously as if she was looking for someone or something, but dad ended up calling, "Claire!" When mum saw us she hurriedly walked towards us as we started walking towards her when she looked at dad and said, "I need you," I shook my head as dad said, "okay. . ." "I need your help. My nephews, they're out in the Valley. Please, if anything happens to them..." dad grabbed mum's arm and took her away from some tourists before asking, "how old?" Before mum could respond, I cut in and said, "Zach's sixteen and Gray's around twelve years old" they both looked at me as I said, "Zach's around the same age as me and Gray's a few years younger. That's how I can remember how old they are," they both nodded, but dad said, "your mother and I are going to look for your cousin's. You on the other hand are going to the Raptor Paddock where I know you'll be safe," I gave dad an incredulous look as I retorted, "I know my way around the Island better than anyone, which means I can help find my cousin's," mum looked at dad before looking at me as she said, "honey, your dad is right. Go be with the Raptor's we'll be back soon," I sighed in defeat as I nodded before I asked, "am I at least allowed to have a ride to the Raptor Paddock?" They smiled while nodding as we left the main building. 

They ended up dropping me off at home as I needed to get my phone off the charge before I headed towards the Raptor Paddock.

When I walked into the Raptor Research Arena I saw Blue and Delta in their harnesses as I saw Barry petting Blue as I walked over to them as I slowly petted Blue, as he calmed down more than he already was. I just smiled at him before looking at Barry, but before either of us could talk Hoskins showed up asking, "how fast can they run?" I knew he was standing behind me as I moved a bit more closer to Blue as I heard Blue growl lowly as he was not happy with how close Hoskins was to me, but I continued to pet him as Barry said, "forty. Fifty when they're hungry," "ooh! You ever open them up, see what they can do?" I felt the urge to attack him, but ignored it as I continued to pet Blue as Barry said, "no," I could also tell the man that's been around me, my entire life was also watching my reactions as I looked up from Blue to Barry as I smiled a little in reassurance. But Blue then hissed while trying to get out of his harness which caused me to go back to petting him before I looked to see what really caused him to lash out and saw that Hoskins was too close to me as he also tried to pet him, "shit! That got me. It got me," I stayed with Blue as I suppressed a laugh as Barry and Hoskins walked away from Blue and I, as Blue growled as he watched Hoskins walk past.

I then stood in front of Blue as it caused him to focus on me as I smiled at him and ignored what Hoskins and Barry were talking about as I redid a few checkups on Blue, before I heard Delta have a go and I softly chittered which caused Delta to calm down before I saw Barry smile at me in thanks, but Hoskins looked at me in wonder and confusion as an uncomfortable feeling came to me, so I went back to tending to Blue. But that's when Barry called, "code 19!" As a guy on the platform said, "that's the new one!" "They said we lost some guys!" Was all Barry responded with as another guy called out, "that's the Indominus!" Some of the men went running off to do something as Hoskins asked, "what's a code 19?" "Asset out of containment. These people, they never learn," Barry then walked over to me and asked, "did you know?" I nodded as I said, "I watched as it killed some people from ACU," Barry rested a comforting hand on me as Blue always reacts to when someone gives me to much contact. He doesn't mind Barry laying a hand on my shoulder as he knows I  grew up around Barry, while he will allow my dad to give me a hug because he knows that my dad is well my dad. He just reacts badly if it's anyone other than them. Or if anyone gets too close to me. Barry then asked, "can you let Blue and Delta back into the paddock?" I nodded before saying, "they were probably just alerting the herbivore handlers," he nodded before we watched Hoskins walk off and I grabbed Barry's arm before he could leave as I uttered, "keep an eye on, Hoskins," Barry gave me a confused look before he asked, "why?" "Hoskins' up to something, and we both know I won't be able to leave the Raptor Paddock unless I have to go somewhere, where I'm needed," Barry nodded before leaving as I let Blue and Delta out of their harnesses and back into the Paddock. 

I then waited a few minutes as I was cleaning up some of the equipment that was used for the two Raptors. Knowing that Blue was waiting at the gate patiently and I shook my head with a fond smile before I went into the Raptor Paddock being thankful that it was cloudy as I wasn't being blinded by the harsh light. I then spent a some time doing hunting drills with the Raptors and at one point I just sat near them in the middle of the paddock in the shade that the walkway's above provided, as they played together and I felt all my troubles of what had happened a couple hours ago wash away as I felt at peace being with my childhood companions.
