Hybrid/Human Mischief

Was there a way for me to know what Wu had been doing to me? Maybe if I actually asked questions about what he was injecting me with or why he was doing it, could that have changed anything? Would I have known?

Rubbing the heels of my hands against my eyes as I took a couple deep breaths to center myself, before I sat up, noticing that it was more than likely the early hours of the morning considering it was still dark outside. I could tell Nyima was still peacefully sleeping as I slowly got up, although she did have a hand protectively wrapped around the whistle chamber hanging from her neck. That just causes me to smile gently at her.

"Where are you going?" Blue's voice snaps me from my thoughts.

"Just going to get some air," I shrugged slightly because technically that isn't a lie.

Blue gave me his best skeptical look despite his tiredness diminishing any and all effect that it would have had.

"Stay with her," I nodded at Nyima who was still soundly asleep snuggled against Blue. That caused Blue to curl more around her protectively as he gave me his silent agreement not wanting to wake her up as he laid his head down.

A fifteen year old Phoenix watched fondly as a sleeping Echo snuggled up to Blue resulting in the older Raptor to curl protectively around his little sister. While Charlie and Delta started another competition between themselves.

"Be safe," Blue's voice snapping me back to the present.

I just gave him a nod as I watched him close his eyes before I made my way out of the original Jurassic Park's Visitors Center into the refreshing night air of the jungle outside.

Now time to see if I can find any answers to many unspoken ones.

Walking around in the jungle while it was still dark was almost therapeutic in a way. Despite me also possessing the ability to see in the dark. It always confused me because my eyes always seemed to enjoy the darkness more than the light or any form of brightness really.

I shook my head away from those thoughts. For now. Just trying to focus on getting to one of my destinations. In the hopes that I might find answers there. But I'm not holding my breathe. I'll probably find more than enough reasons to want to dispatch the person who thought it would be a good idea to experiment on a baby who wasn't even fully developed in her mothers womb.

Anyway, making my way to the genetic fields lab in hopes of maybe finding, oh, I don't know, anything about Wu's Vr-05 project and see why exactly he thought it was a good idea to do what he did. Only for some reason it made me think I probably wasn't going to really like the answer that I would get. 

Narrowing my eyes at the building before me, knowing that I was either not going to find anything or I was and I wasn't going to like it. But hey hopefully I get some answers and not more questions. Then again knowing my luck I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with more questions than answers.

I pushed the door open making my way into the genetic fields lab where the entire place was dark except with the occasional red light every now and then. While looking into every room that I could, all I was finding was nothing, like Wu or whoever worked with him cleared everything out while also knocking over a whiteboard in one of the rooms.

I made my way over to some cabinets and opened them only to find all the classified files that were supposed to be in there gone. Causing me to scowl slightly as a low growl rumbled out of me. 

I then made my way to the main room of the lab only to come across an incredibly stale cake, by just the smell alone. I ain't even going to attempt to try and touch it to really see how stale it became. So, I just kept walking around coming across papers that had nothing to do with anything about hybrids or really anything I was really looking for.
