Mutasim P.O.V

Its been a few years since I found myself transported in the past. And to say that things were strange would be putting it mildly. I had to treat my "siblings" like actual siblings when I spent the majority of my life treating them as my elders! It was... really difficult to not slip up. Eventually, I got used to it. The sisters quickly accepted me as their brother and it felt like I never left.

Since Grimm were prominent in this world, Tai taught me how to fight and handle myself. I only had a few lessons of fighting before being transported into the past and most of those were just how to escape from certain situations. Thanks to Tai's training though, I learnt a lot of combat techniques both with my bare fists and with a weapon! OH! I almost forgot to mention that! I made my own weapon!

It was inspired by both my mom's and Qrow's scythes. And... I might have made it a little overkill. It was a fusion of two swords that could turn into a poleblade, two handguns, and transform into one giant scythe or two smaller scythes and a scythe poleblade. Like I said, I might have made it overkill, but I like to be a little tricky. Keeps enemies guessing. Like Aunt Blake said, "confuse your enemies so they don't know what you'll throw at them next".

As strange as it sounds, I like to think I somehow became the most responsible older sibling of my new family. Thanks to Tai pulling a few strings, I was able to enlist with Yang at school and now I was on my way to attending Beacon alongside her!

And not just her...

Currently, Yang and I were in a carrier, flying over Vale and towards Beacon Academy. But it wasn't just us. Ruby also got in despite being a couple years UNDER the age requirement. I remember mom telling me that Ozpin, the former Headmaster of Beacon, invited her. Mainly for her silver eyes, she assumed. I always did wonder what made our silver eyes special, she never got around to telling me.

Yang hugged Ruby tightly, excited at the idea of her little sister attending Beacon with us.

Yang: Oh! I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!

Ruby: Please stop.

Yang: But, I'm so proud of you!

Ruby: Really, sis. It was nothing.

Mutasim: Ruby, you're attending Beacon two years early. I doubt that's considered "nothing".

Yang: See? Even our charming big brother thinks so!

Yeahhhhhhh. That was another... "issue". Yang made it a habit of teasing me. Her future self was pretty much the same, but it wasn't as flirty. This kinda... made me feel a little disturbed. Then again, I can't just say "Oh! Hey Yang! Look, I got something important to tell you. I'm actually from the future! I'm Ruby's son and you're my aunt!" Yeahhh... I don't imagine that'd be taken very seriously by them. Even if they know about my Semblance bearing a very close resemblance to Ruby's.

Yang: Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knees!

Ruby: I don't want to be the "bee's knees", okay? I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees.

Ooooooohhhhhhhhh, so THAT'S where that whole knee running joke thing came from.

Yang: What's with you? Aren't you excited?

Ruby: Of course I'm excited... I just... I got moved ahead two years. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything.

Mutasim: But you ARE special. How many others can say they survived having Yang as a sister?
