I couldn't believe it! I was finally back with my mom! And some other family members, but I was mostly happy to see my mom! Though... It was definitely weird for mom and my aunt Yang to meet their younger selves. I'm sure their past selves had a ton of questions about their future, but I wasn't sure if we should've answered them. Not with how... delicate some of the topics are. 

Right now, we were all sat down in my dorm which was a bit crowded now. I was sat down on my bed with mom, Aunt Yang and Cinder. Everyone else was sat on the other beds or just sat on the desks. 

Ruby: I still can't believe all of this! I mean... Our older brother turns out to be MY future SON?!

Yang: It doesn't get any easier hearing that... 

Tai: No kidding. So... What do we talk about? 

Ruby: How about how Mutasim ended up in the past? I'd like to know that. 

I look down at my hands, unsure of whether I want to answer or not. Comforting me, Cinder rubbed my back. 

Cinder: That's a bit of a... touchy subject. 

Mutasim: It's fine... They should probably know so they know why I don't like Weiss. 

Qrow: You sure kid? I mean, seeing you fight her back in combat class didn't seem like you were fully over it. 

Raven: Of course he wouldn't be "over it". If you saw what that pompous asshole was doing to him, then you'd know it's not something easy to get over. 

Mutasim: Thank you, Raven. But it's fine. I'll need to face all of this sooner or later. Might as well get it over and done with now. 

Yang: Oh come on. How bad can it be? 

Everyone who knew sucked their teeth in, not wanting to be the ones to tell her. Regardless, my aunt spoke up. 

Yang (Future): Right, well... It kinda has to do with my nephew's birth. Ruby and Weiss kinda... got together. And they wanted a kid but couldn't quite make one themselves. 

Ruby: Whoa, whoa, whoa, back it up. I date Weiss?! 

Yang (Future): Ehh, marry, but yeah. 

Ruby: MARRY?!

Ruby (Future): That was one of my worst mistakes in my life. I volunteered to be the carrier and we got an anonymous sample. But according to the doctor's they mixed it up and the sample that was implanted in me belonged to Weiss' little brother. 

Yang: So THAT'S why he has yours AND Weiss' Semblance! 

Cinder: Yes. They're hereditary. 

Raven: But when Weiss found out, she wasn't happy, she hated Mutasim, despised him. In her eyes, the whole point of it being an anonymous sample was for him to grow up as literally any other kid. Not someone either of them knew. 

Mutasim: So she abused me... Stabbed me, burned me, froze me, starved me... All those and more... All to the point she nearly killed me. 

Ruby's and Yang's eyes widened as they shared a glance with each other. Neither one of them could believe that I was abused. Yet I had the scars to prove it. 

Mutasim: I escaped from the house soon after and in a last ditch attempt to escape from Weiss, I jumped off a cliff and landed in an entirely new timeline. That's when I met you two in the forest. And you brought me back to your home. I recognised you immediately and I was so confused. That's why I pretended that I lost my memory. 

I ended with a sigh. It was relieving to get that off my chest, but now I had to deal with what they would think of me. Though considering how we grew up together, I didn't imagine they'd shun me for all of this. And they didn't.
