Perhaps Love

"We're going to the summer palace."

"Where?" Hyunsuk had already taken the front seat beside Jihoon as they drove off from the palace.

"You'll know once we reach, that's the best place to watch sunrise. I've already talked with Mr Lee."

Hyunsuk was baffled as watching a sunrise had only recently been added on the list of things he wanted to get done and this couldn't just be a coincidence or could it be?

"I heard from your friend, Junkyu."

Ah, Kim Junkyu it is, bro couldn't keep his mouth shut. Well keeping that aside, he was still shocked with how spontaneous of a plan this had been and was confused about what exactly Jihoon meant by all of it.

Mid ride as they approached the beach, he requested Jihoon to halt the car,

"Can we stop by the beach? Those waves look tempting!"

But to Jihoon, the way Hyunsuk tugged on the sleeve of his shirt, pulling and leading him out of the car and towards the beach, was just that, tempting.

Hand in hand, they kicked off their shoes and let the soft, powdery sand squish between their toes. Their laughter carried on the breeze as they playfully chased each other, the waves foaming at their feet.

The sun descending towards the horizon casting a warm, golden hue on Hyunsuk's hair, along with his feathery shirt fluttering in the wind were offering Jihoon, the most perfect shot he could ever capture and so he pulled out his camera and pressed the shutter. There it was, his best and probably the most favourite shot till date.

But he had no time to admire it as the person in the picture had already sneaked the camera away from his hands,

"My turn." Hyunsuk ran off excitedly while Jihoon chased him, smiling like an idiot.

They splashed each other with the cool, crystal-clear water, their laughter infectious and carefree. Hyunsuk was able to capture a few pictures until Jihoon literally sweeped him off the sand by the waist, grabbing the camera back.

Following that Jihoon captured several shots of Hyunsuk, just walking through the beach, running, splashing water, building the sand castle, all of him. Oh and never in his entire life of twenty years did he think that making a sand castle by someone could be this healing and romantic, well that someone for him had to be Hyunsuk.

"Piggy back me!"

"What?" Jihoon passed a confused smile, not because it wasn't doable but because Hyunsuk sounded too cute commanding him like that.

He lifted him on his back like he weighed nothing, and sprinted in circles while they laughed to their hearts content.
