Aria tried to hold back a laugh. "What are you doing?" She asked, trying to hold a straight face. Cyrus looked at her, obviously not happy. He shook his head and pulled out some of his scrolls, and started to look look through them. "Is this what you do for a living?" She asked while trying to get comfortable in the hay. Cyrus was quiet for a bit.

"Well -" he started but then paused. Aria stared at him confusedly. "Whatever," Aria rolled her eyes and dug in her bag for some snacks. She pulled out a small loaf of bread and tossed it to Cyrus. He gave a slight smile and went back to his scrolls. Aria looked around the old barn. She felt quite cold, but it was better than being outside.
She looked over at Cyrus and studied him. He had quite the strange hair color and eyes. She had never met someone with 2 different shades of hair and silver eyes. She began to wonder if he had some sort of condition or maybe used some sort of dye or plant? As she observed him, she really began to notice that she didn't know a lot about him. She also had noticed that Cyrus had a scar on his right cheek.

She quickly pulled Cyrus's scrolls away from him and backed up. "Hey! Give those back!" He snapped, furry shone in his eyes. "No. Not until we have a conversation!" She said and pulled the scrolls farther from him. "Aria, I don't have time for these childish games!" Cyrus snapped again.

"It's important! I hardly know you? At least explain what's going on! Tell me who you are, when you do, I'll give you your scrolls back." She said, hoping that Cyrus would put up a fight. Cyrus let out a loud and long sigh. "Fine!" He snapped and stared her directly into her green eyes. "On one condition, you have to tell me about you too," Cyrus said.
Aria looked at him nervously and just nodded. They both sat in front of each other awkwardly for a couple of minutes. "Well, what do you want to know first?" Cyrus started. Aria paused for a moment and thought. "How old are you, and what's your birth town?" She asked. "Oh, that's easy, I'm nineteen and I was born in Drylliad." He said calmly, "And the same question for you." Aria stayed quiet for a moment, "I'm eighteen and I also was born in Drylliad" Aria said.
Cyrus looked at her curiously but then shrugged it off. "Do you have any siblings?" Aria asked, wanting to avoid further questioning. "I do, I have 4 siblings. I'm the second eldest. My older brother is the most annoying brother ever!" He joked. Aria smiled, but I quickly faded away. She looked down at the hay, and she started to feel gloomy. "I once had a younger brother......but he's gone now," she trailed off.

"Oh, I'm sorry," he said, and they both avoided eye contact for a bit. "Sorry, that was out of the ordinary. Anyways, what's so interesting about these scrolls?" She asked holding them up. "Well, they're information about the royal family" Cyrus explained.
Aria was confused on why he had those. "Why do you need them?" She asked. Cyrus eyes widened, "I find them very interesting." Cyrus stated. He held out his hands for Aria to give him back his scrolls. She rolled her eyes and handed them back to him.
Cyrus had a smirk on his face. "Have you ever seen the royal family in person?" He asked. Aria nodded, "I've seen them for most of my life. My father worked for King Jaron."

"I think the princess is really cool," Cyrus said with a warm smile. "Princess Alexius? Why, what do you think is cool about her?" Aria asked. "Well, she's kind, brave, smart, she has really good skills!" Cyrus would continuing going on but Aria stopped him. "How do you even know her? Most of the nobles say that she's crazy!" Aria exclaimed. "Well I, um, never mind," Cyrus avoided the question. "Oh, come on! say it!" She pleaded. Cyrus sighed, "Fine, I once was really good friends with the princess of Carthya when I was really little. She's not as bad as she seems, and I would like to see her again and catch up on old times," he smiled warmly. Aria looked at him with a disgusted face. "It's official, you're crazy! I'm going to bed!" Aria said.
