" What are you talking about" I asked as I propped my phone up.
" Nun I found it ma I'll see you later" he said.
" Okay" I said and the call ended.
" Laia what are you doing" I asked as I looked around.
This girl was sitting on the couch with her iPad and juice.
" Ma ma" she stuttered out and I smiled.
She called me mama omg.
" You ready to eat baby" I asked and she nodded her head yes as she smiled.
Picking her up I went and sat her in her high chair.
Going to the stove I made her a plate and let it cool down before putting it in front of her. I made me a plate as well and sat down.
Blowing on my food I helped her eat as I ate.
1 hour later
I was currently in my home office at work , I worked for Humana I just couldn't deal with working with people in person anymore.
Laia was sleeping so I had time to clock in and do what I needed to do.
I heard the front door open and close he must be home. I was talking to a client when he came in and stood behind me.
" Wasup mama" he said as he kissed on my neck and cheek.
Muting the microphone I spoke back to him.
" Where Laia" he asked
" In her room sleeping go check on her" I said before unmuting the mic.
" Ight bae" he said and he walked out shutting the door behind him.
Ima just ignore that and finish the few hours I have left.

I picked Alaia up out the bed and took her downstairs with me. Sitting her on the counter I fixed me a plate and warmed it up.
" Da" she said spitting out her pacifier and I looked at her smiling.
" wasup princess" I said getting a fork out the drawer.
She just looked at me and smiled showing her two teeth that was at the bottom. Putting my plate in front of me I started blowing as I ate.
Shit was fire man I'm telling you.
Dea had made some jasmine rice , stuffed chicken breast and some corn.
" Huh" I said feeding Laia some of the corn.
" No da" she said moving her head.
" She already ate" Deasia said as she came into the kitchen , damn Ian even hear her come down the steps.
" I can tell" I said and she laughed.
" You straight"
" I'm fine Tyrone I wish you would stop asking that" she said as she rolled her eyes.
" I'm just making sure you always on that smart shit" I said.

" Gone head bruh" I said as I continued to eat my food, she was rey piss me off that fast.
" Whatever hi my pretty girl" she said to Alaia and she just smiled showing them two lil teeth at the bottom of her mouth.
" Mama" she said stuttering and Deasia started clapping and Alaia copied her.
" I'm finna take her with me if that's koo" I said and she looked at me.
"I was gonna take her with me for a girls day"
" She straight she my child she going with me" I said.
" Wow such a low blow ok Tone" she said then walked away.
I finished my food and put the dishes in the dishwasher and washed my hands. Grabbing her a juice out the fridge I grabbed her off the counter and took her upstairs with me so I could get her bag.
When I got upstairs Deasia was packing a bag.
" Where you going" I asked.
" It doesn't matter" she mumbled.
" Stop playing with me" I said as I sat Alaia on the carpet and snatched the duffel bag from Deasia's hand.
" You not going nowhere bruh get that shit out yo head real talk"
" Move"
" Nah come here" I said grabbing her and she tried to pull away but I pulled her to me.
" Quit fucking playing with me"
" I know she's your daughter I know she's not mine that was such a fucked up thing to say to me especially since I lost my babies" she said on the verge of crying.
" I'm sorry mama come here" I said pulling her into a hug and she started crying.
I was rubbing her back up and down and in circles.
" Im sorry Dea Ian mean that shit you more of a mother then her sorry ass mammy ever been" I said and she wiped her face.
" You ain't gotta cry ma I apologize"
" I'm gonna take a nap" she said quickly as she wiped her face and moved off of me.
" Dea"
" I'm fine excuse me" she said as she got in the bed.
" Come here please"
" I'm fine Tone see you later kiss her for me" she said and I sucked my teeth. Getting off the bed I grabbed Alaia and her diaper bag and left the crib.
