I woke up with my head pounding and my heart aching. I really need to start working on my apology to both Hayden and Maddie. I don't know which girl I'm gonna choose, but I can't keep doing this to them. I need to apologize to the guys too, this will be a whole lot easier if I have them on my side. With my plan in mind ready to go I decided to get ready for the day. I chose casual clothes since it's gonna be a rough day for me especially when I have to go see the girls. I hope Maddie's dad doesn't kill me, Hayden's dad would be slight work. Maddie's dad is a whole other story, I just sighed and ran my hands through my hair. I worked up as much nerve as I could before heading downstairs.

My parents were out and about moving around the kitchen and what not. "Morning son" my dad said as he sipped his coffee, mom just smiled at me with a knowing look. "Morning dad, I'll be home later on I have things to do" I said as I turned on my heel to leave. "Don't forget your fight tonight it's gonna be at 9:30" my dad called and I simply nodded before continuing on my way to the front door. I walked out the front door with a new found determination as I made my way down the road to Cole's house. I knocked on the door swiftly as I waited for him to answer.

After a minute or two he finally answered the door with a sigh "Finally come to your senses" Cole said. "Yes, I'm so sorry bro. I know I was a total jackass to Maddie and Hayden. What I did and said was totally out of line and I promise to make it up to the both of them. You're my best friend dude, I know it's no excuse, but I am hoping that you can forgive me" I said shoving my hands in my pockets. "Look, you'll always be my best friend and I know you're confused, but that is only gonna do so much for you. What you said to Maddie was not okay and I will not tolerate you acting that way. Especially in front of me, women deserve to be treated with respect at all times, you know that better than anyone. You're lucky it was me who witnessed it last night instead of her brothers or worse her father" he finished his little rant.

"Yeah, trust me I know. That mountain of a man would turn me inside out for speaking to his daughter that way" I said as I ran my fingers through my hair. "Exactly, and that's why you need to get your shit together. I won't be there to save you if this happens again, I will forgive you, but this is the one and only time. If anything of that nature happens again in front of me I swear Adonis, I will not hesitate to beat your ass into the ground and never speak to you again. Maddie is special to me and the twins and I'm not going to lose her because of you." He said as I shuffled uncomfortably. "I get it okay, and I would do the same. I will make it right no matter what I have to do, trust me I've already came up with a plan" I replied to him as he simply nodded.

"Well, better get to it, Maddie went home two hours ago and I haven't seen Hayden" he said before closing the door in my face. I huffed out a sigh knowing damn well he's still pissed, but I know he'll forget by tomorrow. I just sighed and started my journey to Hayden's house which is in the next neighborhood over. It wasn't a long walk, but it wasn't a short walk either. I slowly made my way up the steps to her house and gently knocked on the door. Footsteps approached as the door opened revealing her father "Well, if it isn't the delinquent my daughter seems to be obsessed with" he rolled his eyes.

"Yes sir, I would like to speak to your daughter if I could" I asked with a sincere smile. "Yeah, that's not going to happen. My daughter made the right choice when she broke up with you" he said as he tried to shut the door. "Sir, I'm here to apologize" I called out making him stop in his tracks. "Well, go on" he said as he opened the door and folded his arms over his chest. I realized he was waiting for me to apologize to him so I swallowed hard and cleared my throat. "I want to apologize for my behavior the other night. What I said was uncalled for and you didn't deserve the way I reacted to you wanting to protect your daughter. She's a great girl and deserves only the best, I truly hope that you will accept my apology" I finished reaching my hand out for him to shake.
