Hayden and I got dressed quickly since it was getting late and I knew she couldn't stay. "Thank you Adonis, I didn't think this would be healthy, but I enjoyed it" she said with a smile as she pressed a kiss to my lips. "Thank you Hayden, I know it's very shitty of me to ask this of you. Just know I appreciate it" I responded with another kiss. "Well, I gotta go so just text me whenever you feel you need a release" she said with a wink as I opened the door for her. What I didn't expect was for my mom to be standing right outside my door.

Hayden gasped as my mom sent me a deadly glare over Hayden's shoulder. "Hayden honey, it's time to head home, it's a school night" my mom said sweetly her eyes softening when they met Hayden's. "Yes ma'am, I was on my way out" Hayden responded as she slowly slid past my mom who locked her eyes on me. 'I'm sorry' Hayden mouthed to me before turning on her heel to leave. "Really Doni" my mom said as soon as Hayden went down stairs. "When things don't work out with one you bounce back to the other. I raised you better than that" my mom said with a huff as she tried to walk away. "Mom, it's not like that Hayden and I are friends" I said making her stop in her tracks.

"Adonis Xavier Reyes, you know better. This is not a game these are two people with feelings and they don't deserve to get played around with" she said walking up to me. "You are making a huge mistake and you know it. I'm so disappointed in you, you better hope that this does not bite you in the ass" she yelled before turning on her heel to walk away from me. I watched her walk away and down the stairs before leaning against my door with a sigh. "Son, what are you doing" I heard my dads voice breaking me out of my thoughts. "Nothing dad, I'm just trying to figure my shit out like everyone's been telling me" I said with a sigh. "May I" my dad gestured to my room and I nodded before opening the door.

We both filed into my bedroom me sitting on my bed and my dad sitting in my gaming chair. "Your mother is worried about you. She thinks that you're making one mistake after the other" he started off with a sigh. "I think your response to this whole ordeal is very normal, for a teenaged boy" he said with a laugh before running his hands down his face. "Look, I'm not going to make you feel like what you do is a disappointment because that's just not true. I want you to know that I am here to help with anything you need. I know our relationship hasn't been the best since you turned into a teenaged kid that wants to challenge me" he said with a laugh.

"You remind me so much of myself, I didn't believe people when they told me that having a son would be this way. Son, what are you doing I can't help you if I don't know where to start" he asked finally looking up at me. "I'm trying to distract myself, I figured since Hayden and I already share a past that it would be good" I said with a sigh. "But, Maddie showed up right before Hayden got here. She begged me to go back to the way it was, but if I want to keep the promises I've made. I just can't be close to her, it's too tempting. I can't spend a single second in her presence without wanting to... well you get the idea" I said as I locked eyes with him.

"Trust me I get it, when your mother and I started out we were crazy about each other. Sneaking away to make out in hidden places where no one could find us. Using every chance we got to...well you get the idea" he said with a chuckle. "Gross" I scoffed, but my dad just rolled his eyes. "Look, you and I both know what it's like to be a teenaged boy with some very fun new toys" his innuendo made me shiver with disgust. "Don't say it like that" I responded making my dad chuckle again. "Listen, I'm not trying to make this uncomfortable for you I'm just trying to share my experience. Letting go of the one woman who can turn that wild teenaged fire into a slow burning flame." He said and I nodded in understanding.

"Can we please skip to the advice part of this talk? Thinking of you and mom having sex every chance you got is grossing me out." I said with a fake gag. He just laughed again before turning serious again "When your mother walked away from me to live her dreams of going to college, it tore me apart. I couldn't live or breathe without her, but I had to think about what she wanted. It wasn't about me anymore, it was about her and making her happy. Even if that meant having to live without her, it was the most painful four years of my life." He said as his voice got thick with emotion.
