Sand's POVWhen Ray spotted his father in front of his house, he tightly clenched my hand. It was obvious that he wasn't very happy about seeing him again.
His father walked towards us and we stayed motionless.
"Ray... I see everything ended up good..."
"Why are you here?"
"I thought you'd need emotional support while your boyfriend was gone."
"I hugged you just because I didn't have anyone else at the moment but that doesn't mean I forgive you for anything!" His father frowned at Ray.
"I thought you changed, Ray, but you are still a little disobedient brat!" He aimed his hand at Ray's face and I stopped him.
"Please don't hurt him!" But Ray got scared and stood up in front of me.
"Just let me take Sand to his mother... I'll come back to talk to you..."
"Fine. Be quick. We've got a lot to talk about." Ray nodded and didn't stop holding my hand... why is it like this? And why did Ray react this way? He never told me everything about his past.
Ray drove me to my mother's house and planned to drive away as he was scared but I didn't let him.
"Ray... you need to calm down." He held tightly the steering wheel.
"I thought... he'd be different when I got into a stable relationship and stopped drinking so much... but I see that nothing has changed."
"Come on, you shouldn't drive in this state." He gulped but he let me take him to my house.
"Sand!" My Mom rushed to me when she saw my face but then she took a step back when she saw my bandaged leg.
"W-what happened to you? I didn't see you in such a long time..."
"Oh, I just tripped and fell down on a sharp object. You don't need to worry." I knew that she didn't believe me from the look in her eyes but I needed to calm her down.
"I see... Come sit down then. Ray, can you help me in the kitchen? If you can of course..."
"I..."
"Of course he can, Mom!" I bumped into him and he nodded. When he followed her to the kitchen, I snatched his phone from his jacket which he left on a hanger.
His father was just calling him and I picked it up.
"Ray! I told you to come back right away!"
"Ray is staying in my place, sir. He shouldn't be stressed right now."
"Don't you think you are spoiling him?! This way he'll be never able to change! Do you know how many cigarette butts I found on his balcony?!" Is this the reason why is he so mad? That Ray is not able to just stop with his addiction?
"You need to understand that it takes a longer time to stop. My friend specializes in it. I'm sure he'll help-!"
"I gave up on my son a long time ago. I gave him a chance when he talked about you but then I saw how big of a smoker he is! I bet it applies to drugs as well and if someone catches him, it'll have an impact on my reputation! Tell him that we'll have a talk later!" He hung up with a furious voice.
It must be my fault that Ray smoked so much... he is still not able to deal healthy with difficult situations and I got myself kidnapped... No, I can't think like this! There was nothing I could do!
Suddenly I could smell something really tasty from the kitchen. Ray just brought me a plate with my favorite meal.
"Look, Sand! Your Mom told me it's your favorite!" He smiled and I was grateful to mom that she could distract him.
