Kuroo Tetsuro

TW: Seizures/epilepsy

When I was 13 years old I was diagnosed with epilepsy, it taken a toll on my life and I have to have a service dog with me.

My boyfriend Kuroo knows of my epilepsy and knows how bad my seizures can get. My parents needed to go out of town for a few days and so I was staying with Kuroo, mainly for my own safety and his older sister is a nurse.

When school finished I made my way over to the gym, My guide dog, Lottie was a beautiful red and white  cocker spaniel. She was always by my side and she loves Kuroo when she's not working and on breaks. when I got to the gym Kuroo saw me and smiled walking over.

"Hey" I smiled

"Hey, good day?" he asked

I nodded as he gave me a peck on the lips.

"Is she working?" He asked

"She is Lottie sit...but I'll let you stroke her and say hello" I smiled

Kuroo instantly crouched down and Lottie gave him a bunch of kisses. Kuroo loved dogs, so when Lottie got to have a break it was the highlight of Kuroos day to stroke her.

"Has she been to the groomers her fur is so soft" he asked

"Yeah me and mom took her yesterday before they left to the airport" I say.

"Oh wow a dog!" lev gasped

"You can all come say hello if you'd like, she's on a break"
I stated.

Nearly everyone including kenma came over to say hello.

"Uh kuroo while I'm over you need to keep closer eye on me, my periods due to start and Hormone changes during the menstrual cycle can trigger a seizure" I say

"Alright noted, My sisters home this weekend so if anything happens she'll be there" kuroo says giving me a reassuring smile.

"Lottie Heel!" I called

Lottie immediately came back and sat down by my foot.

"She's a well trained dog huh" lev says

"She's a service animal Lev" Yaku says

"Really—?"

"Seriously lev you that dumb why would y/n bring her dog to school everyday when nobody else can, you really are dumb sometimes" Yamamoto laughed

During practice I was helping Nekomata with some job just clearing through the storage room when Lottie started barking indicating that a Seizure was coming.

This got kuroos Attention and he ran over and caught me just as I started seizings.

When I have seizures my body locks and I lose consciousness and bowl controls meaning that I do end up pissing myself...

I don't know how long I was out for but when I finally came around I had kuroos Jacket over my lap and I was in the recovery position

"Hey easy there"

Kuroo helped me sit up and my whole body hurt.

"How long.."

"6 minutes..." kuroo says

"That's the worst one I've had in a while..." I say

"We called you an ambulance" nekomata says

I nodded and went move but stopped

"Kuroo I've peed myself..."

"I know, that's my my jackets there"

I started tearing up from embarrassment which made Kuroo immediately hug me.

"I'm so embarrassed..."

"it's alright nobody blames you, you can't control it" he says

Lottie came around and gave me kisses I just hugged her and waited till the ambulance came.

At the hospital Kuroos sister was the one who treated me,

"How long was her seizure Tetsuro?" She asked

"6 minutes in total, we called an ambulance after the 4 minute mark" kuroo explained

"Okay, and you said you lost consciousness completely" she says

"Yeah from what Kuroo said.."

"Well you seem pretty alert now, so Tetsu you did good keeping her safe and preventing injury, we will get you some clean clothes now, and I wanna keep you in for the night just to monitor you since this was a pretty big seizure, I'll call your mom and let her know what happened and they you're okay" His sister says

"Thanks Kaneko" I say.

After she left I looked at kuroo who was visibly upset and worried about me. I couldn't blame him either, it's not often he's experience a seizure and usually they last 1-2 minutes max, which can be scary enough but this one...

"Tetsu..."

"Mhm?"

I held his hand and gave it a squeeze

"You did so well today helping me and you were so brave, thank you" I say.

Kuroo nodded and gave me a kiss which was soft and sweet,

"I wish there was more I could do...seeing you in that state was terrifying and heartbreaking..." he says

"I know baby...it's terrifying having them..." I say

"I love you, so much" he says

"I love you too Tetsuro"
