First was sitting in one of the cells staring at the chained wolf who refused to answer his questions when he heard a crash coming from the elevator shaft.
Aj broke into the cell.
— We're under attack.
— Who would be crazy to come down here? - asked First, mentally analyzing a list of his enemies.
—Well - hesitated Aj - Khaotung.
— What?
Brigth laughed, making the two vampires turn to him.
— You said you wanted answers. - he said, looking directly at Kanaphan
First didn't wait any longer and ran.
They were on the third level and he could hear fighting noises coming from the entrance.
When he got there, he could see Khao fighting ten of his best vampires, but the fight wasn't what took him by surprise. Khao was engulfed in black flames, flames that didn't seem to burn but that attacked in tandem with the blows he struck, they were like an extension of him.
First approached, trying to immobilize the sorcerer, but the sorcerer was quicker, released the vampire he was holding and using one of his flames to pinned Kanaphan against the wall. Everyone who was still awake prepared to intervene, but First signaled for them to move away.
— khao - he called calmly.
— Where is he? - khao asked, staring at the vampire, who could finally see the smaller man's bright blue eyes, which burned like cold, lifeless flames.  And yet all the vampire could think about was how beautiful khao looked with them.
— In a cell a few meters ahead.
— Why? - khao asked with difficulty
— I wanted answers
— You should have thrown me down here then. - said khao with  difficult to form the words, slowly losing his voice as he prepared to deliver one final strike.
— I would never do that to you - whispered First as he stared at the blade of black shadows suddenly stopped a few centimeters of his neck.
Khao used all his self-control not to strike First.
Taking slow steps, he could see the vampires staring at him as he stood in the center of the room and forced his own flames to cut him.
The vampire could do nothing to help khao as he waited for the whirlwind of flames to dissipate after using it to hurt himself.
Using the pain again to concentrate, Khao gradually regained control of his magic; he could feel the flames dissipating and disappearing.
— Khao - shouted First, approaching the young man now lying on the ground.
— What the fuck was that? - asked Aj, who was watching from a distance
— Don't  - said the smaller man, avoiding First's hand and struggling to get up on his own.
Aj looked at First, who just nodded.
— This way.
Walking hurt like hell.  Thinking about the consequences of what he had just done hurt even more. But Khao was too angry to think about that now.
Aj pointed to a dark, windowless cell lit only by a candle.  And all his anger returned when he saw his friend hanging from the wall with silver chains wrapped around both arms and legs.
Khao used the door to support himself.
— Brigth - he called out.
— You took your time. - said the wolf, smiling.
Khao signaled to the chains with his hand and they fell off, releasing his friend.
First and Aj now watched as they both leaned on each other and walked out of the cell.
— I'll answer your questions, all of them tomorrow - said Khao, staring at First with a irritated expression. - Now I'm going to take him to my room.
First wanted to grab him and shout at him, he wanted to pull him away from that wolf, he wanted to carry him in his arms and force him to get treatment, he wanted to be thinking rationally and lock them both in the cell right behind him, but he couldn't. Not after seeing the boy hurting himself to not hurt him, not when all he could smell was the sweet scent of the sorcerer's blood taking over his entire body.
Then he simply moved out of the way, signaling for everyone to let him go.
Aj followed the three of them back to the mansion, curious as to how it would end.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, there was a crowd waiting for them, ready to attack.
— Move. - shouted khao.
First waved for his men to make way for Khao and his friend to pass.
Khao spotted Sea in the crowd.
— Sea - he called loud enough for the human to hear - Bring Jimmy to my room.
He turned around, still not looking at First.
— And you, go to his apartment, get some clothes and some verbain - He ordered Aj, who only moved after First confirmed it.
And without looking at anyone else, Khao and Brigth dragged themselves upstairs with only their own willpower.
The wizard slowly placed Brigth on the bed.
— Don't say anything. - Khao asked, noticing the worried look on his friend's face.
Khao was furious and tired.
But he stood up when he heard Sea knocking on the door, let the couple in and waited while Jimmy examined the werewolf
— The cuts are already healing. - he said after cleaning most of the wounds. - But the silver has entered his system, we need to remove everything before it poisons him. -l
— Aj should be back with verbain any minute. - said Khao, leaning on the wall next to the bed.
— When he arrives, I can make an injectable solution, it will take effect more quickly.
— Good.
— Now let me take a look at you - said Jimmy, turning to the boy.
— I'm fine.
— The hell you are. - Sea pulled him by the arm - Sit down.
Khao was forced to sit down and he was too tired to argue soo he let Jimmy check him over.
— Most of the cuts weren't that deep - said Jimmy, - you'll be fine despite the scars.
— I'll do a healing spell as soon as I have more strength. - khao explained, there would be no scars, there never were. He was used to it.
Jimmy got the message and stood up.
— You should at least clean them anyway. - He looked at the wolf, grabbed Sea and got ready to leave. - I'll bring the remedy as soon as it's ready.
Khao nodded, because that was all he had the energy to do as he heard the door slam.
