Diary,
I woke up to the smell of burning. Surprisingly and worryingly, I was not the cause of it. My first thought was to check if my fireproof sheets had somehow gone up in flames, but that wasn't it.
I went into the kitchen and saw Fuyumi, holding a pan of burnt eggs. The whole kitchen was filled with smoke and Fuyumi was just standing there.
I easily took care if the problem, but was left wondering how my daughter, known for her impressive cooking skills, had managed to almost burn the house down with such a simple thing as making eggs.
One would have thought that a woman with an ice quirk would have a hard time starting a fire. Come to think of it, I haven't seen Fuyumi use her quirk in a while...
After having a serious discussion with Fuyumi, I went on patrol. Today I had it with Best Jeanist.
Good lord, he's almost as bad as Hawks.
The whole time we were supposed to be looking out for criminals and people in need of saving, he was trying to convince me how good I would look in denim.
He said "You should really slick down my hair and put on a nice pair of jeans. I bet Rei would fall for you all over again!".
I doubt Rei ever 'fell for me' in the first place, but either way, I would rather die than take fashion advice from Best Jeanist.
What a long-necked moron.
We did end up fighting a criminal. Just a small-town villain that was trying to rob a store, probably for the first time.
I handled it quickly and efficiently while Best Jeanist posed for the reporters. How he became the number four hero, I have no idea.
When I got home, there was take-out on the table. It appears as if Fuyumi has given up on cooking entirely. Strange.
Speaking of my only daughter, all during dinner she was asking me the weirdest questions. They were all about my fellow pro heroes, All Might especially.
For some reason I felt like I shouldn't give her that information.
I feel like this strange behaviour has been going on for too long. I have decided to ask her about it tomorrow. If she doesn't give an honest answer, I'll have to skip work and follow her around all day. Clearly something is up with her. I'll let you know how it goes.
