Ace and Peter hesitated for a moment. They didn't know what to say or what to do. What if they just happen to say something unintentionally weird and people find them suspicious? If they said one thing it would be over for both of them. They didn't want to do an interview, no matter how important the person was.
They didn't care as long as they were caught or found suspicious. They ended up having a small argument about whether or not they should go. In the end, they went against any interviews about how they felt about the entire thing.
Throughout just a couple of weeks, the news was everywhere. All Peter and Ace did to not seem suspicious was say nothing and pass it off as grieving together. They hadn't even thought about the public and how it would affect people.
All they had to worry about now was how many days it would take for the news to get off of people's minds. They knew it would take a long time for people to forget about it, but they both knew that the images of what they did burned into people's brains.
