"Professor, we were worried. You, Calypso and Krishna disappeared yesterday." Julius said quickly as Xelqua closed the door. He slipped his mask off and put it on his desk as he smiled. Calypso and Krishna went to their desks and did the same. "I'm sorry everyone. Something came up. Calypso and Krishna helped me move some things along and I had to speak with the council for a moment so we ended up coming a bit late this morning."

The class understood and nodded before Diane shifted saying, "I got Eli and Talik's papers professor. They're on your desk with the rest of ours."

"And did everyone do it?" Xelqua asked, looking at Myles as he did. Myles looked down, going through his satchel before quickly pulling it out. "I did. Stayed up late to do so." He said and put it on the desk.

"Well then. I'll look through them tonight. Today we'll focus on reading some old strategies in history and see what you would do differently." Xelqua said walking up the aisles and handing them each a folder with pages of strategies he managed to find in the archives.

The students read through, annotated, and then wrote their paper on what the past has done either right or wrong and how they would do it. After all, people have to be aware of what happened in the past so they can be sure it didn't repeat itself. Although...history always seems to repeat itself. Xelqua walked the aisles seeing if any of the students needed help. Now that they knew what they might have to face, they seemed to take things a bit more seriously.

"Professor," Simmone started looking through her papers. "I have a question."

"What's up?"

"Some of these strategies seem to have some things in common, but drafted by different people. Were they taken over by other watchers in the final stage or did they do what we are doing now?"

Xelqua arched her brow and held a hand out for the papers. She gave the three in question and he scanned through them. "It depends on the era they were used in. The last two were a collaboration with each other, doing what we did with the first one which was actually found and translated from a war. It was carved into the table they used to plan things out." He explained and showed the rest of the class the pages in question.

"However, they didn't do it for a class assignment. They started as a duo not even as students. They were staff members. Then they argued and stole points from each other, becoming rivals. They promised each other when they found the abandoned war tent and the table in there that they wouldn't argue about it. That nothing was going to make them disagree. You know what this tells you?"

His class shook his head and he walked to his desk, sitting on it and looking at all of them now. "Even those who seem to be on your side might be the ones to stab you in the back. Everyone will suspect each other if knowledge is either withheld or opinions differ so much it causes paranoia." He stated, folding his hands in his lap. "The world is morally grey. Not black and white as everyone thinks. Don't let things get to you, unless you know every side of the story."

"...Like you...?"

Xelqua looked at Diane, tilting his head and motioning her to continue.

"We had only one side of the story, the Academy. Some of us made comments to you before knowing your side and now that we do. We see neither you are necessarily at fault for what happened." She slowly explained. His smile widened and he bowed his head gently. "Exactly."

"I am sorry for agreeing with Talik...the first day...professor," Mackinsey murmured and shifted. "That was mean. Not even giving you a chance."

"That's alright, Mackinsey. I am sorry as well for nearly puncturing your jugulars. I have had some issues with my temper." Xelqua chuckled softly. His students finished their assignments and chatted quietly for a moment with him as he went through all of the pages before they fell silent as soon as he put a hand up. Quickly, they all pulled their masks on and sat tall as he opened the door. "||ᒷᓭ?" He asked, looking out.
