The Stare

Your phone starts ringing as you wake up from your nap, it's Shoko. "Hey lazy pants, come to the bar now. Cuties all over the place." You roll over on your back and say in the groggiest voice, "I'm kinda in the middle of something.." "YEAH, TAKING A NAP", she laughs as she yells, "NOW GET UP AND COME NOW, LOVE YOU BYE!!" Shoko always knew how to get you out of bed. She was always there.

You finally get up and shower. You walk to the bathroom, look at yourself in the mirror and say, "Do I really have to go?" Then Shoko pops in your head. A memory of her going home with her ex Geto and the next morning with her at your door crying. "Yeah, I do." You hopped in the shower and lather your body with your favorite body wash. Your phone starts ringing again, so you get out the shower and answer the phone. "What now Shoko?" You said while sighing. "Just making sure you got up, you've been down for so long (Y/n) I WANT YOU BACK OUT," She said. You laugh. "Okay Shoko, I'm getting ready now. Be there in 30 ."

You arrive at the bar in town that Shoko invited you to. You walked and got greeted by a big warm hug from Shoko. "Hey hottie, holy shit.. you look really hot.. you are going to be my girlfriend for tonight!" You laugh and say, "I would love to be your girlfriend for the night cutie." We both laugh and hug each other. Shoko has been your best friend since college and never has betrayed you. You looked to her as a sister. We walk over to the bar and order our drinks and she starts to dance to the music. "How many drinks have you had already tonight?" You say to Shoko while grabbing your drink. "Uh, maybe like 4..actually 5... honestly who's counting?!" We both laugh and you start to loosen up.

A few hours later and a few drinks later, you and Shoko find a few of her other friends and you watch them talk. You don't know much about Gojo except he's is a straight flirt with every girl he talks too. Nanami is similar to you, a little more self reserved and quiet but he does drink a lot more than you, maybe Shoko also. You decided you wanted another drink, so you walk over to the bar and order another drink. Your feet are tired from being on them for hours so you decide to sit on the bar seat in front of you. You grab your drink and take a sip. As you are sitting there drinking, a man comes and sits next to you. "Double shot of whiskey," he says to the bartender. His voice made your heart race. He grabbed his drink and you look at his hand. No ring, you thought. His hands look rough. They were big.

"So what brings you out here tonight?" He says to you. You freeze. You're not scared, just nervous. "I uh.. came out with a friend." You say while looking at your drink. You're not sure why you're nervous around this man. He looks at you and looks back at his drink. "What about you? Long day at work?" you say as you take a sip of your drink. "Something like that." He puts his cup down and orders another. "You wanna another drink?" he says while grabbing his second drink."Actually I think I'm turning in for the night," you say while turning to him. When you look at him, you locked eyes on him. He turned to you and did the same. You both were speechless. The man moves your hair from the front of your face and says, "(Y/n), is that you?"
