It's the morning of Megumi's birthday and Toji decided he wanted to bring Megumi along with him for a birthday sleepover at your place. You wake up to Toji cuddling you from the back and Megumi holding you from the front sound asleep. You smile and start to rub on Megumi's face. "Happy Birthday baby, I can't believe you're 4." You said as you kiss him on the forehead. You really love this kid. He starts to wake up and his eyes start to flutter.
He smiles and says, "I love you. What are we doing today?" That took you by surprise but made you so happy. His hair is so wild and he looks so adorable. He definitely got his looks from his dad. You give the biggest smile to him and reply, "I love you more stinky and it's your day Gumi, you can do whatever you want." Thats what you want for him. You want to give that kid the world.
Megumi gets up and jumps directly on Toji. Toji wakes up and grabs his son and yells, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY GUMI GUM, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH YOU CRAZY BUTT!" Toji is such a good dad. He is always there for his son. Toji once told you that he was the reason he stopped his drug habit. He continues to hold Megumi and you can see his little legs squirming around. You move out the way and just laugh while watching them play around. Toji looks so happy. As you go to grab your phone to record the moment, Megumi runs over to you and says, "Daddy's gonna get me, HELP MEEEE!!"
You laugh and grab Megumi. You run down the hall to the kitchen. Toji is right behind you. You start to fake scream ands say, "Daddy's gonna get me now, NOOOOO, HELP ME GUMI!" Toji grabs you from behind and hugs you around your waist. You lean back and continue to hold Megumi. This is too good to be true. Toji kisses your forehead and Megumi makes a face. You both chuckle. "Are you guys hungry? I can make some pancakes and bacon." You say while putting Megumi down. "Yes please!" They both say.
A few hours later, Megumi's birthday party begins. Megumi is outside in the backyard playing with all of his friends. You and Toji are sitting on the back patio watching them. Shoko decided to come and she brought Geto with her. Gojo made it too with Itadori and Nobara. Gojo is their babysitter when their parents are out of town. Megumi is so happy that his friends got to make it.
As you all sit there watching the kids play, Shoko starts to ask you something. "So, are you guys official or playing house?" When you look at her with a questionable gesture, you start to talk but Toji saves you. "We are happy, what about you?" When Toji said that, you smiled over at him. You both aren't ready for a label. Everything is fine the way it is. Or at least you think. He grabs your hand and he puts it on his knee. Shoko smiles and says, "I only ask is because I don't want her to get hurt again. It's just she's my best friend and when she moved here, she was a lite-" "Shoko, stop!" You interrupt. She has never been so vocal about you and your feelings. Toji looks up at Geto and Geto is looking down. There is an awkward silence but it gets filled with Megumi's voice. "DADDY, WHEN ARE WE HAVING CAKE?" He yells from across the yard.
You get up and you give Toji a kiss on the cheek. Since Megumi is ready for cake, you go prepare it. Toji gets up and tells everyone to gather in the kitchen for the birthday boy. It did make things a little awkward but you hope it will sooth over in no time. You don't know why Shoko decided to be like that and it makes you a little annoyed. She doesn't know about Toji and the past so why would she expose something so private. As you pull the cake out of the fridge, you hear a familiar voice enter the kitchen. "Hey, sorry about that. Since she's been sober, she has been more vocal." Geto commented to you. "Well, I guess I have the right to ask too, are you guys official or just playing house?" You questioned while slamming the fridge door. He walks over to the counter and leans down on it. "I know you don't want to talk to me, but I'm 6 months sober. I have a new job and I have an apartment. Shoko lives with me, she is also 6 month sober... We have gotten better. I wanted that for us." As you were sticking the candles in the cake, you look up at him and respond, "Why are you telling me this Geto? To feel better about yourself? I'm happy for you. Now go be with Shoko."
Gojo walks in and says, "Hey, Toji asked if the candles- did I interrupt something?" "No, you didn't and yes the candles are about to be lit, tell everyone to come in." You tell him. Toji walks in as Gojo was walking out and scopes out the situation. "Whats going on?" He questioned. Toji has always been the jealous type. But so are you. You look at him and express nothing was going on. Everyone starts to gather in as you start to light the candles. You feel anxious. Nothing did happen but Geto in a room with you alone, doesn't look good. Geto and you have a secret that no one knows about because it was a big mistake. Toji grabs Megumi and sits him on his shoulder. With everything that happened, the anxious feeling you had gone away when you looked at Megumi. He is smiling and laughing so hard. You all begin to sing happy birthday to Megumi. When it comes down to blowing the candles, Toji puts down Megumi and whispers in his ear. Megumi looks up at you and then looks back at the cake. He squints his eyes as he blows out his candles. Itadori asked, "What did you wish for?" Nobara adds in, "Yeah Megumi, tell us!" You look at Megumi and he looks up at his dad. As Toji looks at him, he puts his index finger to his mouth. Basically telling him not to say anything. Megumi laughs and responds, "My daddy said it's a secret!"
