Decisions

Monday morning comes around and it's Toji's first day back at work. You drop Megumi off at school and decide to meet up with Gojo at a small coffee shop nearby. When you get there, you see him sitting with Shoko. "You got to be kidding me." You say aloud to yourself. Gojo gets up and starts to walk over to you while you get out of your car. "Hey, hey, hey! I know this wasn't the plan but maybe things could get worked out? I mean she feels so terrible about it." He paused as you continued to walk past him. He catches up to you and tells you he knows about the Geto situation. You stop and turn to him. "What the fuck?!" You said confused. "Not everyone needs to know about it." You say. "They broke up (Y/n). Like "Shoko threw Geto's things out of her house "broke up." He said quietly. As you both walk up to the table, Shoko looks up from her phone. "Hey, (Y/n). How's life?" She says as she waves at you.

An hour passes and you all are just talking about general life and work. No one really wants to talk about the situation. But when push comes to shove, Gojo really knows how to keep a conversation going. "So are you guys gonna make up or is this the end of a good friendship? I really don't think it needs to end over some guys." You laugh a little cause he's right. This whole thing started over a question about your relationship with Toji. There is an awkward silence in the air. This is the real first fight you and Shoko ever been in. But Shoko is in recovery. She has changed since then and you never took that into account. "I'm sorry Shoko... I mean, I never really thought about your sobriety. You never spoke out like that for me before so it really surprised me when you did. Thank you for caring though..." You speak up to clear the silence.

She looks up from her phone and looks at you. "I've missed you, but were you ever gonna tell me about Geto?" She questioned. "When Geto got home the day he went to go see Toji, he was so angry. I really didn't understand why. So I asked. At first he started to lie but then the real truth came out. You hid it from me for 5 years (Y/n) and then you watched me date him after right after? How did you do that?" You really didn't want to talk about Geto. "I just did. I saw the chemistry between the both of you and-" "You gave him your blessing, right?" Shoko interrupted. "No Shoko." You answer. You look at her and just sigh. "I don't want to fight with you again. Especially over him." You say to her. She chuckles. "Whats so funny?" You ask. "I'm friends with Toji's old assistant. She told me everything thats happened between them. Do you care to know? Or should I just keep it from you too? I mean since we are keeping things from eachother. Things like this!" Following this, you feel your stomach drop. "Yuki.." You say quietly while you look away. Shoko sarcastically chuckles. A tear forms in your eye as you stare down in your lap. "Maybe we should stop here.. Things are getting a little emotional.." Gojo steps in. You look over at him. "Did you know about that too?" You ask him. He shakes his head and answered, "No, I didn't... This is news to me.." You can't believe what Shoko is saying right now. "How long have you known?" You ask her. She sighs and says, "Its been about 2 years. She would talk about him all the time but not really say his name. Until, she got fired. She called me up and told me everything." You really can't believe what you're hearing. "Shoko, are you serious?" You ask with a crack in your voice. "Just as serious as you are (Y/n)." She responded.

The next thing you know is that you're walking back to your car. You don't say anything to anyone. Gojo gets up and runs up behind you. "Hey, are you gonna be okay?" He says out of breath. You continue to walk back to your car. The tears that have formed in your eyes start to fall from your face. "Call me if you need anything." He tells you as you close your car door. As you're driving back home, everything is running through your head. You start to space out in thought and before you know it you get home. Toji's car is sitting in the driveway. You turn off your car and look at the time. It's 12 already? You sigh and just sit there for a minute. You start to think of when you first started talking to Toji again. How you picked him up from his job because Yuki sliced his tires. How you were there when he was passed out on the floor at his friends house cause he overdosed on H. Your tears flow more as you wipe them constantly with your hands. You finish wiping your tears and finally get out of your car. You decide to act like nothing happened. How do you talk about it? You practically did the same thing. You take a deep breath and walk into your house.

Toji is sitting in the living room with his legs propped on the couch. He has his laptop on his lap looking at his clients stocks. He turns his head when he hears you walk in. "Hey babe, where have you been?" You set your things on the kitchen counter and respond, "Oh, uh I went to get coffee with Gojo and guess who was there?" He gets up with his laptop in hand and walks over to the kitchen. His neck is bruised up with all the sucking thats happened since.. you know. Megumi has asked about it and you both tell him that he had an allergic reaction. Megumi never questioned it but he just wants his dad to be okay. "Who?" He asked. "Shoko." You answer. He looks up at you. "Well, is everything good now? I mean, what did she have to say?" He questioned. You walk over closer to him and say, "No, actually. I really don't want to talk about it. I just wanted to mention that she was there, that's all." You say as you look at his laptop and lean on his arm. He moves his arm and wraps it around you. "Well, I know you don't wanna talk about it but you will at some point right?" He says looking down at you. You look you up at him. He picks you up and sets you on the counter. "Of course." He smiles and moves his hand to your face and rubs his fingers against your cheek. You smile. "So, what if me and Megumi moved in?" He asked with a quiet tone.

You make face when he asked this. That's not what you were expecting. "Have you uh, talk to Megumi about this?" You ask. The thought of having Megumi living here brings so much joy to your heart but you need to talk to Toji before anyone moves in. "You know Gumi, he loves it over here. He would love to live here with you, well us." You nod in agreement. "I mean, I really wouldn't mind but.. there are still a few things we need to talk about Toji." "I know. Whenever you're ready, I will be ready too." He says as he pulls you closer to him. "It's almost time to pick up Megumi, I'm gonna freshen up and get his snacks ready. He's definitely gonna want them." You say. He grabs your face and kisses you. "I lo-" You interrupt him and just kiss him back. You don't want him to say it yet. It's not time yet.
