"You're all I want"

I stared at my hands while I sat with my legs crossed, the soft fabric of my blanket moving beneath me as I sat fidgeting on my bed. My thoughts were racing.
Remembering memories of Benny and I.
Thinking of the moments I've spent with Jordan.
The past of my life rushing back in.
Benny.
Jordan.
Wendy.
My brothers.
My sister.
Mama.
Dad.
My...birthday.
The sound of screams and arguments flying across the backyard.
The shoves made between me and...Louisa.
The dark shadow that walked ever so silently behind my family.
The barrel emptying as I watched the bullet fly towards me.
.
..
...
Silence.
My fingers grazed over the bullet wound that surfaced my skin. I glanced around the room, lit by only warm yellows as my lamp sat bright on my nightstand.
The moonlight shining dimly through my sheer curtains. My eyes roamed before finding a book that laid on the carpet. My head tilted to get a better look.
I reached down to grab it and flipped it up for the blue hard cover to show back at me. The bright yellow printed letters reading out 'Jacqueline D. Michaels'.
My eyes scanned through the pages as they were filled with all different entries. Memories of my childhood playing like a movie through the pages. I felt my heart ache at the poorly spelt writing as I read through my past.
Photos from the Sandlot...
Photos of me and...Benny
I looked through the photos of me and Benny and I felt my head begin to hurt.
This is all too confusing.
My....Life.

I've been waiting outside Jackie's front door for 20 minutes now.
Girls...They take forever.
I was sitting on my bike fiddling with the handle bars when the door slammed open and an unfocused looking Jackie walked out and grabbed her bike. Thank God those damn crutches are gone.
"Jackie...Why'd you take so long?" I asked her as I rode along side her as she strolled her bike out the the road.
She looked up and her eyes were bloodshot red and dark. She looked so tired.
"Jesus Jack...have you slept?" I asked her before I stopped my bike and leaned over a brushed her hair out of her face. I tried looking for an answer in her eyes. Nothing.
"No...but im fine," she shortly replied. I didn't want to pry into her for answers too soon so I dropped my bike and stood behind her.
I pulled off a hair tie from my wrist, gathered all her hair that fell messily in her face and pulled it all back into a ponytail and tied it up. I stood in front of her as she sat on her bike. I brushed the loose strand behind her ear and softly smiled to her.
