ELMERY
I don't care. I am so pissed right now.
How was your first day of 8th grade? 'Yes! First day! So excited! So nervous! New friends! Yay!"
Mine wasn't that way, I had to deal with my mother's loud scolding, an unfortunate toe-stubbing encounter with the bathroom door, and Selon's constant complaining. All I could hear was a never-ending stream of 'Blah, Blah, Blahs!' as I entered the classroom.
She wouldn't stop complaining about her father, how he scolded her for talking rudely or if she neglected her studies. I must clarify, it was all Selon's fault. Her father, from my perspective, is the kindest man I have ever met. If you treated him with respect, he would return it gladly.
Selon's problem is her mouth. When it came to talking to her parents, she treated them the way she treated me, which isn't ideal. I told her to shut up, but she wouldn't listen. Even when the teacher entered the classroom.
"Selon, please keep quiet," the teacher said. She finally shut up when felt eyes on her, the boys kept their gaze on for a little longer before looking away.
Oh, did I forget to mention? Selon's the most popular girl in the class, even though it was a new class with completely different people. She had straight black hair and hazel brown eyes which anyone could stare at for eternity. I was a little jealous I had to admit.
As soon as the teacher started teaching, I started to doze off. It's weird, because I lay awake staring at the ceiling at night but here, I drift off instantly. But there was one thing keeping me awake, the guy in front of me. He wouldn't stop muttering, I think it was the Periodic Table. But very loudly.
I could see the teacher glancing at him from time to time. But she ignored him since he doing something related to the subject, but I couldn't stand it. It was making me angry for some reason. "Miss,' I raised my hand, "his constant muttering is not helping me focus on what you are teaching," I said with a sophisticated tone.
"Oh! Um Arlen? Sweetie, you can do it some other time. Focus on what I am teaching."
"But I have a competition this Saturday! I need to revise at every chance I get!" he said.
"I know that Arlen, but you are disturbing everybody else," she said in a sad tone.
He glared at me, I gave him my infamous sarcastic smile. He started walking towards the door.
"Where do you think you're going?" the teacher asked.
"Um, to the bathroom?"
"I didn't give you the permission."
"Did I ask for it?" The class oohed, I raised an eyebrow.
'No! You are staying here! Don't cross your limits!' she said angrily.
"Do you want me to pee in here?" he asked. The whole class started laughing.
The teacher rolled her eyes before motioning him to leave.
I knew I hated the guy the moment I saw him, he was being so disrespectful! Thank god our teacher is chill; otherwise Arlen would have to deal with spanking if I was the teacher. A nice one, with a long metal scale. But the brown-haired weirdo was so smart! He was revising the Periodic Table! Revising!
How many people do I have to be jealous of?
1) Selon
2) Arlen
