Virion Eralith

It's been a week since the ambush, citizens of every race are worried, tensed, and scared after these sudden ambushes.
"Elder Virion, the gate to the flying castle is ready"
"You can leave" the guard nodded. First official council meeting after that disaster, just thinking about it makes me sick but I have to attend the meeting for the balance, for Lord Aldir, for Arthur. What Arthur did for my people, for the sake of this kingdom, this is nothing compared to those.
What I'm worried about is the lack of power we have than our enemies. Why did the Asuras never mention Alacrya before, or are we just mere bugs to them that they don't even bother to share this information.
Maybe we are incompetent, our present leaders are the true examples after all.
"Power, not incompetent, what can we expect from a red core leader to do?"
Mana surged from my body  I looked around to search for the source of voice.
"Calm down you old moron"
"Rinia?"
"Yes you old man, I can't believe you're so lost in your thoughts that you don't even remember my voice" she sighed.
"Oh come on you're acting like a ghost now" I joked.
"Only if I was the only ghost.." she said her voice changed.
I felt nervousness of her voice "What do you mean?"
"They'll be here soon, Virion.."
"Who? Who'll be here soon?" I fell down on a chair.
"I'm sorry, protect your loved ones"
I didn't reply, she won't listen, she is gone.
Rinia's foresight is something I'm afraid of than my own death.
I need to clear up my mind, the meeting is important, I adjusted my robe, took the fragrance out of the shelf which reminds me of my loved ones..

Bairon Wykes

I didn't return back to the castle, I didn't go back to my home, didn't face Lucas, didn't inform anything to Varay and Council.
Sitting on the balcony of one of my cottages near the border of Sapin, I recalled the battle I faced a while ago, I couldn't beat him, I couldn't even get any information, I failed, while my comrades were fighting I couldn't even help them.
I flinched as a powerful mana source staring at me, coming at me, I stood up but then I realized I'm not in her league, "Varay Aurae"
She slowed down and her foot on the edge of the balcony, her expression blank as always.
"Bairon" she said ever calmly.
She never called me with my first name, well we are in such situations.
"I will accept any punishment, I ignored the duty of Lance, I'm ashamed" I added with no hesitation.
Varay looked a bit shocked or maybe not.
"We'll think about it later, the council is waiting, the council needs their Lances, we need the thunder Lord"
I smiled slightly at the sudden mention of my code name.
"Yes, let's go" I nodded.
