CHAPTER 7

STAR

TWO DAYS LATER

In the last few days of being here; I have learned quite a bit and learned a lot. There were more than just wolves here. On my travels of finding my safe place called home for a short while. I happened to find food a lot easier, even plants to make some descent medicine for my wounds.

The animals were amazing around here. These are animals you would only ever read in a fairytale or books from the unknown. They were all sorts of different shapes and size. Some with weird shaped horns, some with hard skin that looked like armor or see through. Some with scales or multiple colors for skin. It was straight up mind blowing. There was so much to offer here.

Find a cave that would be a perfect home for now. Hoping that nobody would find it. I mean it was well hidden behind bushes and a few trees. So, I really don't think I need to worry about any intruders. It was pretty well hidden anyways. Maybe it could be permanent for a while until I figure out what my next step and plan is. Figure out how the hell I was going to get back home?

Right now, I was out looking for a few more supplies to help me out for a few extra days.. It looked like there was a nasty storm that was rolling in and I had no idea what it was like or how long it would last. I needed to be prepared for anything now. For all I knew the rain could be like acid or something; so, I had to be prepared for the worst. Wasn't willing to take my chances to find out until further notice.

I was picking up some berries and a few plants that I have run into, that grows like a wild weed out here; when I heard a horrifying sound making me drop everything to the ground. Having an insane strong urge and pull to go help this creature in need as if it was calling to me. So, what do I do? I follow my instincts, seeing what the noise was, like an idiot.

Carefully looking around my surroundings making sure it's safe. From the looks of it. - Nope, not safe. I've come across what I call " hunters. " They look like fucking storm troopers with really bad armor that needed updated badly. They seemed to have caught and trapped some of the amazing creatures around here. Only taking what they need and wasting the rest of it. It was like they were poachers or something of that sort.

What a bunch of losers! If they are going to kill something they should use all of it. Not wasting anything. That is how it should be. Hearing the animal again and again; I walked more cautiously towards the sound and the storm troopers, being a ninja, like I was trained to be. Hiding behind a fairly large tree trunk, as I carefully peeked around the corner to see what was going on.

My eyes grew wide, as I couldn't believe what I was seeing right now. It looked like a phoenix but not. On Earth a phoenix was more, red, orange, and with a hint of yellow. Only in movies and Syfy books. I have only ever read about these on TV when I was younger and in school.

The phoenix was almost the same color as my hair. Its feathers were a lovely silver, chrome color. Not to light, not to dark. Nor shiny or dull. It seemed perfect with the fiery red hint as the lining of the feathers to them, making it look magical. My jaw dropped at the beauty that was right in front of me.

Seeing the hunters from the other side; I started to crouch down; getting closer to the amazing creature. Praying that it didn't eat me for a light snack. Or anytime soon for that matter. Getting a lot closer, I saw an arrow that was pierced in the side of the phoenix. For some crazy ass reason, I was starting to feel the bird's pain. It was actually a really weird feeling that I was getting from this creature.

" What was going on? Why was I feeling like this all of a sudden? " As I felt confused for a moment.

Standing up, I walked out from behind the tree trunk, with a smirk on my face. Only standing mere inches away from the bird now, startling him. Playing with my knife, twirling it around in my hand, just to spin it around looking like the bad ass that I am.
